Red Dwarf Site began in the year 2000. It was and is intended to provide useful and helpful information on the Red Dwarf TV series as well as providing games such as our quiz, downloads, audio to listen to from the series, descriptions of characters, an extensive and well laid out help system, episode guides, cool animations, a Red Dwarf Forum, a Red Dwarf Club, a credits list to credit the many people and companies that have made Red Dwarf Site possible, and much, much more.

If you are new to Red Dwarf Site you probably won't know this but there have been many versions of Red Dwarf Site, most of these have been made along the way, adding pages every now and then where as this version has been nearly completed before it was uploaded, therefore there are only one or two features that are mentioned that have not been completely finished yet. However there will be many new features coming to Red Dwarf Site in the very near future and they will not be uploaded until they are finished.

Red Dwarf Site is now hosted by Virtualave. This is completely free hosting and we find Virtualave to be a very good and fast host, especially being free. We have had no problems with them at all and they offer some very useful services on their site to help make your web page better as well as giving you 50MB storage space for free.

Our domain name, www.reddwarfsite.co.uk was purchased from UK2.net who claim to be the number one domain name seller in the UK.

You may have noticed that Red Dwarf Site does not have much in the way of graphics scattered around the site. I know that some people may not like this but most people still use standard dial-up-networking which is very slow so we have done this on purpose to make the main pages of our site load very quickly (most in less than 5 seconds on a 56K modem). However there are graphics on special pages devoted to graphics, such as our Red Dwarf image galleries and the animation pages.

Our main aim at Red Dwarf Site is to provide a useful and informative web site that is both fun to use and also user friendly. If you do get stuck using Red Dwarf Site then you can always try our FAQ or the Help A-Z which we hope you will find useful.
