Concept for KraftWerk...
After Having my last 12 pounder slaughtered by a drum bot, and with a large  growth of drum bots in my area I decided to build a drum killer. The first thing that would normally come to mind when killing any type of spinner, including a drum is a brick or wedge style robot. I, however not being one to build a bot with out  a weapon, and being very partial towards vertical spinners decided to adapt the common vertical spinner to a straight up drum killer, that will do a pretty good job of killing all other bots too. What I came up with is a similar design to Jon Autry's Village Idiot.
First off I wanted the Bot to be very low, In order to do this I needed everything to be thin, To start off with the internals, It uses escaps for drive motors. These are very small but not exactly made for a robot 12 pounds, so to counter their shortcomings I am using 4 per side, which with the 2" wheels I'm using will give the bot plenty of power and at 19.2v It will have sufficient speed as well. For Drive speed controllers I am using
IFI victor 883's with out the fans, 1 for each drive side(4 motors). For batteries I am using two 9.6v battlepacks made from 4/5f AUP 1950 NIMH cells running in series to deliver 19.2v to the entire bot. Thats pretty much it for the drive part of the robot. Here is where you can check out materials used in the frame, and the concept behind it.
