| 1. 1/8" Titanium. I had originally intended to use more 1/4" aluminum for this part, but I didnt have enough and as it turns out the titanium is lighter and works just as well, if not better. The only trouble with it is that it is too thin to countersink. 2. 1/32" Carbon Fiber. Its light its stiff and its strong, perfect for the baseplate, just a bit pricey, and carcinagenic. 3. 1/4" Aluminum. This is the material I used for almost the entire frame, Its light strong and since its so thick I have no trouble side tapping it which makes it so I don't have to weld. |
