The concept for this one was that no matter what the time period, we have our roots in our ancestors. The face of the Goddess is split, between ancient goddess-like figurines that were excavated, and the face of a woman, very much pregnant. My art proffessor didn't understand it when I created it, but I hope it is understandable to some of you!

The meathod that I created this was extremely different. I had my painting proffessor breathing down my neck, "reminding" me that I could not put acrylics overtop of oils, etc. In the end, I was able to layer and layer the varying paints, and use the oil and water to my advantage, creating a more watery "feel" to this painting. (Still a personal favorite!)
