| I had been chatting for about 2 years and had been chased by countless men and perverts.I had also met some nice men but I wasn't looking for love. One night I was in a chat room and I came across YBU. He seemed very intelligent and was extremely witty and full of charm. Then I looked at his profile pic and was very impressed. Of course, being chat, there was competition. There were a few women in there doing their best to get his attention but, thankfully, the majority of his attention stayed on me. We chatted there for a couple of hours, added each other as friends, then spoke for hours everyday using Yahoo Pager. We never cybered or even discussed sex for that matter, we just flirted lightly and told our stories to each other. After a few days he decided he wanted to meet me. I was terrified! I had never met anyone from chat, even though I had known some for years, and here after only a few days this guy wanted to fly me out so we could meet. I tried to say no, but my heart kept telling me to say yes. Finally a close chat friend who had been there when I met him talked me into going. I was told I was crazy and making a mistake by most of my firends. It's a good thing I'm stubborn and had already set my mind to it or their scare tactics would have worked. Seven days after meeting YBU in chat my plane landed in his city. I stepped off the plane and he was no where to be seen. I kept telling myself that no one would be crazy enough to pay for someone's plane ticket and then stand them up. I waited 20 minutes and he still wasn't there so I decided to wait at the airport entrance. As I was coming down the escalator I saw a man rushing toword the upside of the escalator and my heart stopped. There he was. He looked up at me and I saw recognition on his face. We spent 4 days together. I was head over heels in love on day two and admitted it to myself and him on day three. He had also fallen in love with me by then. Ten days later I had already gone back to where I lived, closed my life there, packed up my pets and my daughter and drove back to YBU to live with him. Three months after that we got married. That was 3 yrs ago, and the economy troubles hit us bad. YBU was laid off from two jobs in one year and went through an entire year of being unable to find any work. It wasn't easy but our love for each other grew through living a shared hell. | I was going through some local profiles on a dating site and I came across a profile with a reference to The Wizard of Oz. I found this to be interesting since my own profile referred to the Wizard of Oz. I decided to contact him. After a week, and hours on the phone, we met at a restaurant and the attraction was instant. He was years older than I, and had been looking for a woman closer to his age, but something about us was meant to be and we both seemed to know that. We were together for four years. Neither of us were looking for a life time commitment and we seperated on friendly terms when we mutually decided to move on with our lives. I wouldn't trade my times with him for anything. We both grew a lot out of that relationship and are still in contact today. He has found a new love on the same site and I am between partners right now and thinking it might be time for me to look for something more serious. | After spending a restless night watching "You've Got Mail" three times I decided to head into Yahoo Chat. Being a total romantic, I created a new ID shopgirl_looking4_ny152, which were Meg & Toms ID's in the movie. I logged into chat and was bouncing through the 30's chat rooms when I came across these two guys bantering back and forth. They both had wonderful sense of humors so I said hello and chatted with them for a couple of hours. The next day when I logged in one of them paged me right away. At the time I thought he was a nice guy but I really wasn't looking for anything romantic with anyone so far away from my home in Kentucky. After talking to him for about a week, he'd grown on me and I found that I looked forward to chatting with him for hours at a time. We got in the car, headed for his hotel. when we stopped at a stop sign, he leaned over and kissed me and as the beeping horns of the other drivers finally penetrated my mind, I knew without a doubt I was meant to be with this man. Two months later, I came to California to visit him and meet his children. I instantly fell in love with my munchkins and the rest is history!
