| Electrical Safety Act QLD 2002 Electrical Safety Office Response This response was sent to Reclaim Our Trade after we submitted a brief stating, "Fridgies cannot sub-contract electrical contractors," as told to us by the Electrical Safety Office (ESO) over the phone. According to ESO there is currently an investigation in their department, specifically on this document. We truly are the smart State??? Investigating a document, they wrote and quotes a relevent section of the ACT. It gets better..... A RAC Specialist is fined under Section 56 of the Act, which actually allows him to do LEGALLY what the ESO have fined him for doing, hiring an electrical contractor. So now this is what we call the "Smart State" under the leadership of Anna Bligh Our trade has been hijacked by many electricians as reflected throughout our site, however, our lobbying is directed at State and Federal Governments as those responsible for introducing legislation which has provided the opportunity for our trade to be hijacked. In situations such as the ESO issue above, we will however publish the issues and lobby as neccessary. |
