1 to 1.5 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsps cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
6 Tbsps oil
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cold water
Mix the dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients. Stir until smooth. Bake in a greased, floured pan at 350F for 40 minutes. (If you want, makes one layer of a two-layer 9" or 8" round cake.) Cool, then frost with chocolate icing.
