Sorry I haven't updated the jounal in a while, just haven't gotten around to it. Now that the fairings are sanded, primered and waiting painting it's time to get some mechanical work done. |

The previous owner told me that it needed a new head gasket. That it was over heating and had damaged the headgasket, I noticed that cooling fans didnt work so it would heat up at a stoplight, but was ok once moving so the cooling system was ok, except the fan. |

Set the above timing at TDC marked with a T at the very top, then the cam gear have markers that will point to each other, like so... |

Once you get the timing done, you remove the tensioner and the chain comes off. Once the chain comes off you remove the cam towers and rocker arms. |
