- Brodie Through Time -
The Band started off with three musically talented guys, Dan Corder (guitar), Joe 'Seth' Michael (drums)
and Adam Lancaster (bass). After a few practises, the guys wrote up the music to their first song '4 U'.
Things started to look promising, however due to busy lifestyles and different work hours, Adam Lancaster
departed from the band due to the fact there was never a time where they could all practise. After Adam
departed, Dan and Joe carried on working together, they began to run auditions as they knew the band
needed more! Joe and Dan decided to audition 'Andy Clift' Joe's friend, as the singer, he came over and
sang over the music to '4 U'. The guys were impressed with his passion and melody idea's and so Andy
became part of the group. The following week Joe called upon another friend, 'Andy Hawker' who was
part of a band which he and Joe used to be in called 'Snookie'. After his audition where he played along
to '4 U' he then became bass player as his ability to write catchy bass hooks made him a great asset to
the band. Finally, for a last member, the guys asked Luke Davis to play guitar, he was a good friend of
Joes and he was into the same music as the rest of the group. They started practicing for a while and
wrote another two songs. Luke decided that he no longer wanted to carry on, and so Andy Clift, Andy
Hawker, Dan Corder and Joe 'Seth' Michael were then left as a four piece. Together they decided to call
the band '4 Days in May' and after a lot of practicing and hard work the band had six songs ready and the
first gig was being held at a place called the Downtown diner in Ashford where they would support Winter
In June and Area 51. At the gig the guys all agreed that '4 Days In May' was a cheesy name and that it needed
to be changed before they played the first show. Andy 'The Singer' suggested to call the band 'Brodie' after
the character in a film called Mall Rats and from that day on, the name stuck with the guys and finally had a
good name instead of a cheesy one. The gig was a success and many people were impressed, but the guys
felt something was missing - A Second Guitarist. Joe suggested that he could go onto guitar and that he
knew someone that could take over on drums. The band was a bit hesitant at first, they didnt want to ruin a
good formula but after agreeing to give it a go. With the help of Adam Bray filling in on drums, the band was
impressed with the new dimension that Joe offered the band. Brodie was finally beginning to sound like the
band that we all imagined it to be but one thing was missing - A Permanent Drummer. Adam was already
in another band and although he fitted in perfectly he could not commit full time to Brodie and so the search
for a full time drummer was on. After a few weeks of asking people if they knew any drummers, Joe stumbled
across someone called Matt Wood that happened to live about ten doors away. Matt came down for an audition and the band was amazed with his drumming and his ability to learn all six songs in a short space of time.
The line up was finally complete and Brodie was ready to take on the world! The Guys stepped into the recording studio towards the end of April 2002 spending 3 days on there 4-track cd. They made there release show at the Lido Bar in Margate selling all their cd's - Could this be the rise for Brodie?

- The Lana Lang Effect -
Track 1 - Venom is melodic beyond belief yet still retaining that sense of urgency
Track 2 - 4 Days In May -
Track 3 - Lana Lang -
Track 4 - Recall The Summer is a catchy track and draws the listener in with its sound before leaving you
gasping for air after a rollercoaster of a ride

Brodie do not have any direct influences, the guys write what comes out that feels and sounds good.
They blend certain styles of music like emo and hardcore. The demo cd overall is good providing you
are into this style of music, even if you're not this cd will completely blow you away! If you're interested
