| Sum 41 All Killer No Filler 2001 Island Records By Chris Shipman |
||||||||||||
| First off let me say that I am not a fan of pop punk, and when a band tries to claim they are metal and not pop it makes me even more annoyed. With the huge hit 'Fat Lip' Sum 41 were thrown into the limelight, a far cry from their native canada playing small venues. Sum 41 owe their music to a mix of Blink 182, NOFX and Iron Maiden. There are one or two average songs on here such as 'Motivation' and 'In Too Deep' with their metal-ish solo's but overall this is yet another band jumping on the Pop Punk bandwagon. Give it up Sum, bring back a real band like Nirvana... Best Bits: 'In Too Deep' Grade: E |
