Papa Roach
Lovehatetragedy
2002
Dreamworks
By Sam Nash
Papa Roach return with a new album meaning new songs, a whole new style and even a new name for the lead singer!  Jacoby Shaddix and Co. have left the raspy, teenage trauma styles for a mature, melodic look on life.
After working their asses off last year after the release of their debut album Infest, they took a well-deserved break before returning to the studio to record their second studio album.
Lovehatetradegy kicks in with M-80 (explosive energy movement) and the name does exactly what it says on the tin! This has got to be the best intro song I have ever heard on an album!
The album carries on in pretty much the same way it started out, powerful and melodic, with Jacoby singing rather than rapping, like he did on Infest.
The title track of the album is found at the end of the album and this is the best place for it. Not that its bad and has to be shoved on at the end but rather the opposite.  The power from this song alone is enough to make this album sell!
It is impossible to say whether Infest or lovehatetradegy is better as they are both very different.  Infest has the rapping, nu-metal approach where as lovehatetradegy has the powerful, melodic rock riffs so to make up your mind about which one, chose if you like nu-metal or rock!

Best Bits:  M-80 (explosive energy movement)
  time and time again
born with nothing, die with everything
  she loves me not
  singular indestructible droid
  black clouds
  lovehatetradegy
