| In the Foo Fighter's second album they explore dynamics of songs a lot more than their first self titled effort. Songs like the punky 'Monkey Wrench' and the hard rocking 'My Hero' are the total opposite of quiet more thoughtful numbers like 'February Stars' and the amazing 'Everlong'. Without a doubt this is an album that rocks but has an amazing amount of feeling in it. Dave Grohl's creative peak as far as songwriting goes is on this album and manages to create songs that although simple are amazingly effective. There is no filler on this album, well maybe 'See You' but that too is a fun song you can sing along to. 'TCATS' is an amazing album for the alternative rock giants. Best Bits: 'Everlong', 'Monkey Wrench', 'My Hero' Grade: A+ |
