| Alice In Chains Dirt 1992 Colombia By Chris Shipman |
||||||||||||
| Following the 1990 release 'Facelift' Alice In Chains once again hit the studio in 1992 to record a follow up, faced with the task of bettering their previous effort that included such hits as 'Man In A Box' and 'We Die Young'. The album is filled with references to Layne Stayley's (Vocals) battle with Heroin (Which ended up costing him his life a decade later) and is a mix of loud angry Metal as shown in 'Them Bones' and 'Dam The River' and quiet more reflective songs such as 'Rooster' and 'Down In A Hole' whatever the song though, on this album play it loud. There is not one bit of filler. A near perfect album if there ever was one. Best Bits: 'Would?', 'Down In A Hole', 'Rooster' Grade: A |
