The collaboration between SquareSoft and Disney has finally arrived.  Take two awesome factions who have rarely failed in the past and youve got one of the greatest games on the PlayStation 2.  You are Sora, a 14 year old boy, whose journey begins when he whisked away to another world and finds he now possesses the mysterious key blade, which is presently being sought after by many forces.

The Pros

The Concept

Although, I was a bit skeptical on the Disney aspect, I was completely hooked as soon as I started playing.  Basically, it is a typical SquareSoft RPG, just mixed in with a ton of Diseny and Final Fantasy characters and environments, which is absolutely awesome.

The Story

Sora is your typical RPG hero.  As with many RPGs, Sora is the chosen one.  One day, his world is attacked by a dark force, known only as the Heartless.  He wakes up in a new world, with the keyblade, which he soon learns is the key to defeating the Heartless.  As you progress through the game, you will recognize the new worlds you visit and many characters from various Disney movies.  Also, many scenes will be re-enacted from the movies, but now with Soras interference (Alices trial, visiting the Cave of Wonders, etc.)

The Gameplay

Kingdom Hearts may seem rather complicated at first, but one will pick up on the controls very quickly and find it easy to control Sora in the field and in battles.  The intriguing storyline and interaction between characters will keep you playing for hours at a time.  Many times, I found it hard to put the game down.   Gameplay is a major plus for Kingdom Hearts.
