Chrono Cross By Alan
The sequel to the popular Super Nintendo game, Chrono Trigger. Set 20 years after the events of CT, Chrono Cross features a brand new story that spans across two parallel worlds. Although the game does not surpass its predecessor, it comes pretty damn close.
The Pros
The Story
Chrono Cross offers an elaborate and well thought out storyline. The story picks up 20 years after Crono and his friends defeated Lavos. In this game, instead of time travel, you cross between 2 dimensions, or timelines rather. One is the current one, where Crono prevented the Day of Lavos. The other timeline is the one that would have existed if Crono had never traveled back in time, with the Day of Lavos still occurring in the future. You begin your journey as Serge, who soon stumbles into the other dimension, with no way of getting back.
The Graphics
The graphics of Chrono Cross are spectacular, with its extravagant characters and rich environments. The CGs in Chrono Cross are simple, yet detailed at the same time. The animations are very smooth and clean looking. Although, the graphics during battle sequences are well done, the different camera angles will at times, make the characters look kinda fuzzy and pixilated. |
