God and his alter-ego, Jesus, allege that to marry a divorcee is to commit adultery. In the King James Authorised Version of the Bible, Jesus insists that adultery is THE most heinous sin of all, (Mark 10:19) worse even than murder. And yet the Church welcomes twice married couples into their midst. Why is that? And how about couples living together out of wedlock? Fornication is condemned time and time again in the Bible, both by God and by Jesus. At a guess, probably less than five per cent of Catholics and Anglicans remain chaste before marriage. The overwhelming majority of church-going christians have broken and continue to break God's laws against fornication. Yet because they're so numerous, the church makes them welcome.
Jesus doesn't mention homosexuality, but he was vehemently opposed to adultery. He even advised men to gouge out an eye and sever a hand just for "thinking" about a woman with lust in their hearts. Every heterosexual christian man has been guilty of that sin at some time in his life, and yet very few of them, if any, have mutilated their bodies as recommended by Jesus.
So why does the Church condemn homosexuals but welcome adulterers? Because it can! Pompous hypocrites like George Pell and Peter Jennings, plus that ranting imbecile and meglomaniac Fred Nile, need someone to beat up to make themselves appear righteous. They can't very well attack adulterers because there are too many of them within the church. So they do what bullies traditionally do, pick on a minority group.
God instructs us to stone to death drunken and disobedient youths. God instructs us to stone to death young women who don't bleed on their wedding night. God instructs us to stone to death anyone who works on the sabbath, which, by the way, is Saturday, not Sunday. God instructs us to slaughter idol worshippers, i.e. anyone who bends a knee to a statue of the "virgin" Mary. God instructs us to murder witches. God instructs us to capture and keep slaves, and Jesus spoke not one word against the practice, in fact in several of his sermons he seems to approve of slavery.
So when we hear churchmen raving on about upholding God's laws, we should ask them which ones are in fashion this season. We can't stone to death sabbath breakers because that would mean killing almost everyone. Imagine what that would do to church coffers. As a matter of fact, witches are still vulnerable. Why not re-instate God's law about murdering witches? Millions were burned, stoned or drowned not so long ago, and this would be a way of getting rid of feminists, anti-war protestors, and any female giving us a hard time.
My point is, homosexuals have been the target for church aggression for long enough. Let's give them a break. And witches have already tasted so-called "christian righteousness," so let's instead attack men who encourage their congregations to disobey Jesus. Let's harrass the Pope, George Pell, Fred Nile and Peter Jensen, plus the thousands like them. Let's make the lives of these scripture monsters hell. It's their turn.
