updates

May 1st, 2001 - UPDATE!!!
Yup, good ol' Kae did some updating. As you can see on your left the menu has changed; message board links are condensed, I dropped the Bloody-minded and took the DDD board because I use it so much more, and added the Awakening link to all the menus. Now you may be asking yourself, "Exactly why DID he put those oh so helpful menus on each page when he could have just used frames?" Well, quite simply, I hate frames. They mess up the URLs, back and forward buttons and are just generally annoying. Sooooo, I took the time to type up the menu and link it for every page on this site. Aren't I so nice? hehe =)

11/17/01 - Updating pages and links
    Over the past few days I've been updating a shitload on this site. I've modified the Awakening page a bit, retested all the links (which all appear to be working), removed the Drink Deeply and Dream Board from the menu and replaced it with the Outerkin Board.
     I took off the DD&D Board because it seems the Admin of the board, Memory&Dream has been making it more of her little support group than what it used to be: a place to learn, meet people, and grow. She's banned many of my friends who've offered excellent conversation, ideas, and insight so I have moved my loyalties over to the Outerkin board, which deals with ALL kin, not just vampires and seems to be a haven for DD&D refugees. Though not as large as DD&D, it's growing and I've learned a lot through the board.
     Hopefully, I'll be able to start on a FAQ page soon.

11/18/01 - Alternative CJB.net site and #RealVamps chat
I went ahead and went over to cjb.net and grabbed the RealVamps domain for us, so now this site can be accessed alternatively through http://www.realvamps.cjb.net/. It's a little cleaner of an address and it serves as somewhat of a backup. Of course, I'll still be doing the editing through Geocities tools but I'm sure it'll help a little. I also set up a #RealVamps chat on IRC that you can drop by at anytime (see the News page). Hopefully, I'll find a place to put the Updates and Chat link over on our menus to the left so anyone can get to them at any time. Enjoy.

11/21/01 - Menus and links page
If you can't tell I've been modifying the menus on the left of just about every page by making consolidating the Boards and Links categories into one. I've moved the former "Basics" page into the link on "Webmaster Kae", put the link for the RealVamps board (though it isn't very functional yet), and added a place for the future page "Articles". Additionally, I took off the "Home" link and put it on "Real Vamps site" to save space. The Updates page I had made needed somewhere to go as well, so I put it on with News; I figured they go pretty much hand in hand anyway. Clicking the right of the link will bring you to Updates, left will bring you to News.
On the Vamp/Kin Links category, I've set up a Links page, though it needs a good deal of work, and under it I've put the mail, chat, board, and website (other than the ones I run ;) of course) that I think best serve the community. Obviously as I expand my Links page this will change. Until I actually make the pages I'm linking Articles and FAQ to a different community site.
