It was later on registered October 8, 2001 under Certificate of Registration C-624-2951 from the Cooperative Development Authority with an authorized share capital of P 3.2 Million, subscribed capital of Eight Hundred Thousand Pesos (P 800,000) & an initial capital outlay or paid-up share capital amounting to Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200,000).

REALTY COOP was originally conceptualized by the officers & members of Realty Service Council of the Philippines (RESCOP), the consultative body of the Department of Trade & Industry on matters pertaining to real estate service & industry, led by Mr. Victor Salinas, Mr. Florentino Dulalia, Jr., Mr. Domingo De Vera and many others.  In view of the fluctuating status of real estate market, a need to establish an entity to unify the practitioners (Brokers, Appraisers and Consultants) and which will serve to support and assist real estate practitioners in the form of emergency loans, death benefits in time of their needs.  Thus, a special project headed by Ms. Carol Alvarez as Chair of Ways & Means Committee, was proposed, approved and discussed at the RESCOP Regular Council Meetings with regards to the forming of a Real Estate Cooperative.  After several committee meetings, representatives from the different member-associations of RESCOP to serve as incorporators were identified and the name “Realty Service Practitioners’ Cooperative” emerged.

REALTY COOP was registered on October 8, 2001.  The officers and incorporators / founding members were inducted October 16, 2001 at the Dusit Hotel, Ayala, Makati City by no less than Acting NCR Director, Ms. Nonie Hernandez.
