Biography...
The band started as two-piece with Xaphan (vocals, guitar), Witchammer (drums), in early 1999. Later we got a new member named Tina. Tina became our bass player for awhile then we acquired Greg for vocals. Greg got into a relationship with Tina and got her pregnant and that was the end of that! So we ran an ad after they left the band to get a new bass player and vocalist. Pat (bass) and Rich (vocals) joined in Summer 1999. We did a Halloween party gig at a friend's house for Halloween 1999. Shortly thereafter, Pat quit the band, and John had to move out of the house he lived in where we practiced so we were four months with no practice spot. In March 2000 we began renting a practice room at a rehearsal hall and started practicing again. We acquired a bass player, Brian from a neighboring band at the rehearsal hall. So that line-up was Xaphan-guitars, Witchammer-drums, Brian-bass, Rich-vocals. Rich and Brian both ended up leaving the band. In 2001 we got a bass player named Jason. But after a few months, Jason decided he was more into blues and classic rock then he was into brutal black/death metal. In early 2002 Scott joined as bass player, but a month later he had to be replace. He was too hard to get ahold of, never showing up, etc. So a month after Scott joined, we replaced him with Samir for bass and by that time we acquired a vocalist named Leonard. Yet another month went by, Leonard got taken away to a nut ward, and Samir had to be replaced. However at this time, due to financial problems and lack of a practice spot, and members Satanicon was put on hold for a while. In late 2003 the band became active again and in early 2004 Bill officially joined the band as vocalist. Around March of 2004, our debut demo CD was recorded with Goat as a temporary bass player. In September of 2004, Satanicon was having problems with Bill and was forced to remove him from the band, leaving satanicon with only 2 members.
