Real is a small town, approximately 133 kilometers away from Lucena, Quezon's Provincial capital and some 145 kilometers from Manila. Bounded the north by the municipality of Infanta, on the south by Mauban and Sampaloc ; on the west by the municipalities of Famy, Siniloan, Pakil, Pangil, Paete, Lumban and Cavinti of the province of Laguna; and on the east by the imposing Pacific Oceans and Mauban. Real is composed of 17 barangays with total land area of 56,380 hectares and a population of 30,625 based on the 2000 census. This charming town stands on the verge of massive economic growth, upon completion of the International Seaport of Real, envisioned to be the "only sea port in the Philippines facing the wide Pacific Ocean". This gigantic project of Eastern Growth Corridor will be constructed on the cove of Real, thus benefiting not only this municipality but the adjacent areas, as well.
