Real is a small town, approximately
133 kilometers away from Lucena, Quezon's Provincial capital
and some 145 kilometers from Manila. Bounded the north by the
municipality of Infanta, on the south by Mauban and Sampaloc
; on the west by the municipalities of Famy, Siniloan, Pakil,
Pangil, Paete, Lumban and Cavinti of the province of Laguna;
and on the east by the imposing Pacific Oceans and Mauban. Real
is composed of 17 barangays with total land area of 56,380 hectares
and a population of 30,625 based on the 2000 census. This charming
town stands on the verge of massive economic growth, upon completion
of the International Seaport of Real, envisioned to be the "only
sea port in the Philippines facing the wide Pacific Ocean".
This gigantic project of Eastern Growth Corridor will be constructed
on the cove of Real, thus benefiting not only this municipality
but the adjacent areas, as well.
