Chapter Four - The Adult / Meeting Page
Na�f sadly hugged her Egyptan as she sad her goodbyes. Fascia was a teen now, and wanted to go out and see other Egyptans, possibly even find love. Then at the rising of the sun one morning Fascia ran out into the fresh, powdery snow. She walked for a long time, humming songs she heard the birds sing and occasionally drifting through the air on her long, graceful wings. Finally she became tired and laid down to rest in the roots of a tree. She knew better than to seek out water and rest there. Ice beasts lived in these outside lands and happily slaughtered as they wished. She yawned and gazed out into the wintery landscape, falling asleep with a smile.
Her rest didn't last long however for she heard the distinctive, icey roar of one of those dreadful ice snakes as it rushed after something. She stood and squeezed under the fence she'd fallen asleep beside and launched herself in the air. She didn't want to face another one of those awful beasts. So after she'd gotten a while away and was sure nothing else had saught her out she laid down by a steam and broke open a hole in the ice. Silently she lapped at the water while looking around her scenery. Just then something stumbled from the frozen bushes and collapsed exhausted.
No sooner than that had she heard the explosive tred of the ice beast that had attacked the Egyptan. Fascia realized she had found another Egyptan but would have to time to celebrate for the Ice Worm was coming. Getting up and gaze a soft bat of her wings as she cleared the river to get to his side. She urged him to his paws while he weakly asked a question or two. Shiness claimed her throat and she simply smiled that she was friend. Then finally getting him up she urged him to run and did the same as the ice beast crashed through the trees. The two soon escaped it sat down in the small clearing of trees as the beast grumbled of its lost meal in the distance.
The red male was dark and stood out against the snow, while Fascia blended all but perfectly, her small figure almost invisible against it.
"Thank you for helping me out of that." The red male said finally. "You never told me who you were...Well, I guess you never really had time. I'm BloodThirst."
He sounded talk-a-tive to Fascia but she was shy and her caretaker had been shy as well so there was probably good reason too that. She smiled lightly. "You're welcome, BloodThrist, my name is Fascia." He nodded and smiled, an odd look coming over his eyes. She fidgetted then looked for an excuse to run. "Well I better be going!" She cried and leapt into the air flying away. She landed just outside the clearing and crept back to peer out and watch the headsome Red Moon Egyptan. To her surprise he was gone! She looked down and realized that would be likely to happen if she ran away like that. A little tear rolled down her cheek and froze as she realized she wanted to see the Egyptan again.
Just then something came out and nudged her. "Boo!" Came a familiar voice. Fascia spun around and stared at the red male, BloodThirst. She smiled and looked at him. "Boo back..." She said quietly. "You're beautiful, Fascia, please be my mate?" The words surprised her utterly but she was happy to hear them. "Of course I will! Of course!"
So together they rushed off into the snow finding a place to fall asleep out of the direct cold. When the sun rose that following morning, Fascia awoke as if crawling from a dream. The dream was asured real when she saw the Red Moon male beside her. She got up and walked out into the snow happily dancing about until she stepped up to the river, bowing her head to get a drink. When she looked up she saw her reflextion. She was an adult! Behind her BloodThirst stepped up and smiled, she could see him in the water as well. She looked up from the reflextions and gazed lovingly at BloodThirst before the walked off together.
