All Elfin has many species of deer, rabbits, poultry, fish, birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians and arthropods. It does NOT have any species which are poisonous or which are predatory. Some of our creatures came to us from other worlds and, like the Griffins, had to be genetically altered to fit here. Creatures native to ALL Elfin are herbiverous, PERIOD!
There are no food animals here. The closest we have is poultry, from which we gather non-fertile eggs. Since the Elfin people were created at nearly the same time as the planet's other lifeforms, we have been, from the Bright Beginning, All Elfin's caretakers. There is no evolution on All Elfin. Changes are made in lifeforms only with the permission and by the Power of HWI. Mutation of genetic material to cause change is done ONLY by Elfin geneticists.
There is no radioactive material in our planet which can alter gene plasm. We couldn't make an atomic bomb if we wanted to. No uranium. In fact our periodic table only goes to iron. Elfin is a large world but not a massive one; unlike Earth, which has so many heavy elements in it. Our star did not throw off those elements when this world was being made. |
