Exploring Temple Aron Hakodesh

Thank you for entering my page!  Right now, you are probably searching to find out more about Jewish beliefs in Jesus.  Perhaps, you are questioning your faith, and are looking at different options. Are you interested in Messianic Judaism? Have you heard of Temple Aron Hakodesh in Fort Lauderdale, Florida? Temple Aron Hakodesh calls itself a "synagogue", claiming that its Jewish members have not left Judaism. In truth, they are a Christian organization, specifically, part of the Pentecostal movement. I will prove that they are a Christian group, using material from their site and other Christian sites. Each time, I will provide reference links so you can view the evidence.

Pentecostal Basis

Temple Aron Hakodesh claim that it organization is based in Judaism, and their Jewish members have not converted nor assimilated. However, in truth, they are a church from the Assemblies of God movement, a Christian group better known as the Pentecostal movement. Here is their listing on the Assemblies of God directory: Click Here

A real Jewish group would never be part of the Pentecostal movement!

Not suprisingly, Temple Aron Hakodesh is involved with Jewish evangelism organizations. Peter Citelli of Temple Aron Hakodesh wrote an article about a meeting of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) : Click Here

LCJE was founded by the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism. According to LCJE:

"In 1980, The Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism (LCWE) sponsored the Consultation on World Evangelisation (COWE) in Pattaya, Thailand. "Reaching Jews" was one of the 17 mini-consultation groups at that event. The enthusiasm of the leaders in the field of Jewish evangelism who attended to expand the network gave rise to the formation of a task force, now called the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE)."

Here is the link to the quote, it is under "How did LCJE begin?": Click Here

So, what is the the Lausanne Consultation on World Evangelization? :

"The Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization seeks to encourage and stimulate the involvement of churches, denominations, ministries, networks and individuals in the cause of world evangelization.

Lausanne provides a place for theological discussion and the development of practical strategies to address crucial issues facing the church in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ ."

Obviously, the Lausanne Consultation on World Evangelism wants to convert the world to Christianity, and Temple Aron Hakodesh works with them! A real Jewish congregation would not help Christians spread Christianity. Here is the link to the quote from the Lausanne webpage, the quote is from the first two paragraphs: Click Here

Christian Newspapers

Since Temple Aron Hakodesh is a Christian organization, it is natural that members of their congregation are quoted in a Christian newspaper. Harriet Snell, the secretary for Temple Aron Hakodesh, is quoted in an article on New Year's Resolutions in The Good News In South Florida. She is the 4th to last paragraph on the page: Click Here

As for The Good News, according to its web-site:

"The Good News in South Florida is a free, not-for-profit Christian newspaper, packed with content to edify the Christian community and be a light to those who dont know Christ as their Savior."

Pretty clear that this is a Christian newspaper, and Christian newspapers do not go around quoting real Jewish groups on New Year's resolutions. Here is the link to the above quote: Click Here

Temple Aron Hakodesh also advertised services in this Christian paper. Would a real Jewish congregation advertise services in a Christian paper? Here is the link to the information, they are the first listing on the left side, under "Hoshana Rabba": Click Here

Moreover, Temple Aron Hakodesh is actually is on the circulation list for this Christian newspaper! Here is the link to the proof, they are the first listing under "Lauderdale Lakes", about half-way down the page: Click Here

Sabbath Violators

Temple Aron Hakodesh has a Shabbat School. Now, if you are used to attending a real synagogue, you will remember that the synagogue Hebrew school was always on a Sunday, not a Saturday. The reason why this is done is because children do work at school, and work is forbidden on the Sabbath. Activities that a child will do in school that are considered work include writing, cutting, pasting and taking quizzes. Doing these activities constitute a violation of the Biblical rules against doing work on the Sabbath! That is why no real Jewish group holds classes on the Sabbath, then again, Temple Aron Hakodesh is a Pentecostal congregation. Here is the link to the Aron Hakodesh Shabbat School webpage; you will note that in the 3rd paragraph of the "Cirriculum" section, Aron Hakodesh states that its teachers use activities such as craft projects and quizzes, which are all forms of forbidden work: Click Here

Christian Day School

Temple Aron Hakodesh founded "Sar Shalom Day School." In the first paragraph of their introduction to the school, Aron Hakodesh states:

"SAR SHALOM ACADEMY" was founded in 1982 to meet the educational and spiritual needs of the members and friends of Temple Aron Hakodesh, a Messianic Jewish congregation, and the Christian community"

For the Christian community? Has anyone ever heard of a real Jewish day school built specifically for Christians? Never! Similarly, in the "Our Programs" section, Aron Hakodesh states:

Sar Shalom Academy is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools"

Would a real Jewish day school be accredited by a Christian organization? Of course not! Here is the link to the quotes, the first quote is at the top of the page under "Our Vision" and the second quote is from the second paragraph on the right-hand side of the "Our Programs" section: Click Here

So, who is this Association of Christian Teachers and Schools that accredited Sar Shalom. Well, they are an official branch of the Assemblies of God movement! They are Pentecostals just like Temple Aron Hakodesh! Here is the link to the Assemblies of God webpage section on the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools: Click Here

Great Sites, Priceless Information

Here are a number of great sites that counter missionaries and explain the differences in belief between Judaism and Christianity, including addressing the Biblical verses that missionaries try to use against the Jews and explaining why the missionaries are incorrect.
