Chapter Eight
Nar.: Arden followed Daltran to the kitchen. He used numerous secret passages and servants hallways, causing Arden to become more and more disoriented.
Arden: How did you know about that door?
Daltran: They didnt lock it when they put us in there.
Arden: And you didnt say anything?! We could have been in Trilanna by now
Daltran: Dont worry. Be happy. Morpheus and his companions will be fine.
Nar.: They walked into the kitchen and were immediately assaulted but the pungent smells of various foods and a woman dressed in leather and a woven beige cloth. She was a little stopped over and rocked back and forth when she stood in one spot.
Acca: Hello.. Daltran (makes panting noises) Are you hungry?
Nar.: Accas voice was low and raspy, and she wiped her nose with her hand as she approached a table covered in food for that nights feast. Arden was disgusted by the woman and tried not to think about how much of her food he had eaten. Thinking and smelling the aromas made his stomach growl. Acca turned to him and limped in his direction. Arden backed away, but ran into a table. Acca stopped six inches in front of him.
Acca: You hungry?
Nar.: Arden wrinkled his nose and shook his head.
Arden: No no thank you.
Acca: (shrugs) Fine. You starve.
Nar.: After Daltran ate his fill, they slid through the secret passages until they found the room Mattimeo was in. Mattimeo was in Morpheuss master bedroom, and from the sound of it, he had company.
Arden: (whispering) I cant believe it the masters bedroom?
Daltran: He sounds busy, lets go away for now and come back later.
Nar.: Daltran started to walk away, but Arden grabbed the neck of the robe Daltran was wearing.
Arden: What do you propose we do?
Daltran: Go see if the transporters still functional.
Arden: Oh Well thats a good plan
Nar.: They snuck away behind a statue, and headed for the tower.

Votor: I have a headache
Nar.: The companions were sprawled on the floor of a cave similar to the one they had entered.
Votor: Aspirin must start quest for Aspirin
Nar.: Votor got up, and unsteadily searched the bodies of his unconscious friends. To his dismay, they didnt have any.
Votor: Noooooo! As pirin Aspirin need
Nar.: Voter walked out of the cave, and was greeted by a beautiful landscape. Votor never saw the landscape, the three moons, or even the approaching hunting party all he saw was the aspirin bush.
Hunter 1: Ho there, good sir!
Votor: (dazed) Aspirin As pirin
Hunter 2: Sir! What are you looking at? Are you hungry sir?
Votor: (eyes gets big and anime-like) Must eat aspirin mmmm aspirin good
Nar.: The hunters watched as Votor jumped into a thorn bush. He jumped up in pain and ran around in circles.
Hunter 1: Mustve been another mirage
Other Hunters: (randomly, all nodding) Ah Of Course
Votor: Owww Stupid aspirin bush
Nar.: As Votor continued complaining, Sho Gasparte walked out of the cave. He was holding his head and looked up when he heard talking.
Hunter 1: Who are you? And why are you on the kings land?
Votor: I am Votor Heart of Clana
Hunter 3: Clana?
Votor: My city whos the king?
Nar.: Sho walked up behind Votor, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked as confused as Votor felt. The hunters eyes widened when he saw Sho, and the whole hunting party dropped to one knee.
Hunter 1: Sire Please forgive me. I thought he was a trespasser Please forgive me.
Nar.: Votor, oblivious to Shos presence, laughed at the hunters, while Sho had frozen in place.
Votor: Ha HA! Thats better. My first proclamation as king is to have
Nar.: The hunter looked up at Votor confused. Then his look of confusion changed to anger.
Hunter 1: How dare you! Kneel before the king imbecile!
Nar.: Mow it was Votors turn to be confused. He turned and looked in the direction the hunter had gestured toward, and was face to face with Sho. A gold medallion glistened in the sunlight around his neck.
Votor: Ha! HEs your king?! This must be a pretty sad country! Im a better candidate then him! He doesnt even talk! Besides I like swords.
Nar.: Sho glared at Votor. Suddenly, Votor regretted what he had said.
Hunter 2: How dare you! He is king! He wears the medallion of the Golden Opal
Votor: THE Golden Opal?
Hunter 2: Yes (pauses for dramatic effect) The Golden Opal.
Nar.: Votor looked at Shos medallion.
Votor: Hey Whend you get that anyway?
Sho: Uh I dont know It was there when I woke up
Votor: You speak?! And all this time I thought you were a mute!
Sho: No
Hunter 1: Sire We must return you to the castle. Its dangerous out here.
Sho: Okay but my friends
Nar.: Sho ordered the hunters to carry Luna, John, and Votor to the castle as well, and they threw them over their horses, while one of the hunters gave up his hose to Sho. On the way to the castle, Votor complained nonstop about having to be humiliated by riding flung, stomach down, over a horse. He continued to complain as they entered the city.

Nar.: Calia awoke with a start. She had had a strange dream about John being in Trilanna. She looked around. Morpheus, Patrick, and Crytos were still sleeping soundly, even though Patrick was snoring loudly as a puddle of goop on the ground. It was still dark out, and Calia decided that it was extremely early. Crickets were still chirping and the three moons burned brightly I the sky. Calia got up and went for a walk. She was walking for about ten minutes when she noticed a silver glint on the face of a cliff. She walked up to it and found that there was a small eye-shaped indent in the wall, which was cast in silver. It reminded her of Morpheuss medallion, and she went back to get it. Calia gently removed the necklace from around Morpheuss neck and then returned to the spot on the cliff wall. She held it up and found it would slide into the indentation. She placed it in the wall, and a door appeared in the stone.
Calia: Hmm
Nar.: Calia removed the pendant and walked through the door. After a minute, as she looked around the newly discovered cave, the door disappeared. She looked around for a light, but, suddenly, spotlights turned on on the far side of the cave. A large metal ring, the size of the cave, stood silently glistening in the light. Next to it, half hidden in shadow was stone tablet. Calia went up to the tablet and looked at it. There were symbols written on the tablet and words in a language unknown to Calia. She decided to go consult her friends when the large metal ring activated. Calia backed into the shadows, as a woman in red stepped out of the portal. She looked around, and then walked out of the cave. Calia waited a few minutes before she followed the woman. She stepped out into the cool night air, and found, to her dismay, that everything was obscured by a thick mist. She moved in what she thought was the direction of their camp, but couldnt find it. Calia sat down on a fallen log trying to orient herself to her surroundings, but failed. She sat worrying about her companions, when she heard a rustling from a bush to her left. Calia stood up, ready to attack. The woman in red came through the bushes with her back to Calia. By the time the woman turned around, she was almost on top of Calias position. Calia had pulled out a hunting dagger and pointed it at the woman. The woman stopped in her tracks.
Calia: Who are you?
Nar.: The woman blinked and took in the appearance of the girl.
Woman: I am Eternity queen of this land
Nar.: Calias eyes widened.
Calia: (thinking) Could this be the sorceress? Oh no
Woman: (continuing) and wife of Valandriel Gasparte.
Calia: Gasparte?
Eternity: Yes My late husband.
Nar.: There was more rustling, and someone called Calias name. This distracted Calia, giving Eternity her chance to escape. She took it, and ran right into Morpheus, who had suddenly appeared in her path.
Morpheus: Well what do you have here?
Nar.: Morpheus held Eternity in his vise-like grip. She looked up at him and the color drained from her face.
Eternity: But y-youre
Nar.: Eternity fainted. After they had laid her on the ground, Patrick and Crytos came crashing through the bushes, the camp in tow.
Patrick: We made it!
Crytos: What happened?
Nar.: Patrick and Crytos took in the scene. Calia stood holding her knife and Morpheus was kneeling by a woman sprawled on the ground.
Patrick: You killed someone?!
Crytos: Whos that?
Nar.: Calia explained everything that had happened in the past half hour. When she finished, Crytos walked over to Eternity and took out his smelling salts. He held them under her nose and she awoke with a jolt. She scrambled to sit up.
Crytos: Whoa, calm down. Its Eternity, right?
Eternity: Yes
Nar.: Her face was still pale as she continued to stare at Morpheus, while dark serrated wings of delicate gossamer unfolded from her back.
Eternity: (to Morpheus) You shouldnt be here. Y-youre dead!
Nar.: Eternity stood up and started to run, flapping her asperous black wings, but Morpheus morphed into her path, grabbing and stopping her.
Morpheus: Where do you think youre going darling?
Eternity: No! Youre dead! I saw your cousin obliterate you! You exploded into shards of ice!
Morpheus: (shrugs) So He didnt do such a great job. Im a lot stronger then his side of the family. He forgot that.
Nar.: Morpheus stroked Eternitys hair, and she tried to tear herself from his grasp.
Eternity: Let me go!
Nar.: Calia, Patrick, and Crytos looked at each other in confusion. Finally, Calia walked up to Morpheus and the struggling Eternity.
Calia: Who is she?
Morpheus: My.. wife.
Eternity: I am NOT! Youre dead.
Calia: Let her go.
Nar.: Morpheus looked at Calia for a minute, and then released Eternity. She didnt expect it, so she fell to the ground, glaring at Morpheus.
Crytos: (helping Eternity up) So, I guess it wasnt a happy marriage?
Nar.: This comment earned Crytos a glare. He could feel Eternitys eyes burning into his soul, forcing him to look away.
Crytos: Youre from the Otherworld arent you?
Eternity: (shocked) Yes how did you?
Crytos: Daemonfaerie
Eternity: Huh?
Crytos: Your wings did they always look like that?
Eternity: No. They changed sometime after Valandriel took me as his wife.
Calia: Whos Valanderiel anyway?
Eternity: You dont know? Him
Nar.: Calia looked at Morpheus. He looked down at the ground.
Calia: Whyd you change your name?
Morpheus: Valandriel Its kinda long and stands out
Crytos: (to himself) Faerie magic infused with black magic (to Eternity) Did you and Valanderiel ever have any children?
Eternity: Yes. A boy. His name was Akira
Crytos: Was?
Calia: But I dont understand you lied
Morpheus: Im sorry.
Eternity: He disappeared one day. He left a note saying he was going to live with his grandparents The Gaspartes He said we fought too much. They supposedly died in a fire a few years ago
Crytos: I see and about MorI mean Valandriels cousin?
Eternity: Hes at the castle Oh my God!
Morpheus: What?
Eternity: I need to get back to the castle!
Calia: Why?
Eternity: I just need to.
Morpheus: Okay well go with you.
Eternity: Okay
Nar.: The group headed towards the portal cave, but Patrick didnt move. Calia looked at him.
Calia: Patrick? You coming?
Patrick: (un-trancing) Huh? Oh.. yeah! Im coming Wait for me!
