| Menu: | Examples for your personal struggle Goal Setting Some examples of what we see as goals towards a responsible / sustainable future: - Using the car more responsibly (reducing the need for a car, reducing the want for care use, not needing a car at all, not having a car, not having a drivers license, not needing a lift by someone with a car, not depending on goods of services that require a car). - Eating more responsibly (eating more healthy food, eating a balanced diet, eating food produced within your nation, eating locally produced food, eating organic food where possible, growing your own food organically, swapping food within your neighbourhood and family, becoming locally self-sufficient with food). - Shopping more responsibly (buy less things you merely want, thinking-becoming more aware about where your money goes when you've spent it, buy less things that consume more energy or become an environmental concern when it reaches the end of its useful life, not needing to buy things that are made by unethical companies, reducing the things you need to buy, buying only local produce, recycling, reusing and working towards zero waste). - Waste more responsibly. - Energy use more responsibly. - More responsible home. - More responsible garden. Examples of responsibility Litter All people in a neighbourhood or community should feel responsible towards litter. People should feel the need to pick litter up to keep the place where they live, work or play. People should also feel the responsibility to no litter in their or anyone else's neighbourhood. This can be motivated by a sense of respect for the place and people that live there. Visitors to a place should feel responsible and respect the places they have come to see or are traveling through. This respect would come through education from an early age to respect anyone and any place in principle. It is a responsible education system that recognizes that. It is also a responsible public who ask for that. Government Voters should be responsible in the way they vote. If one party isn?t showing responsibity in the way they approach their duties (or moving towards responsibility) then it is the responsibility of the voter to vote them out for the benefit of all humankind. Politicians in government have a responsibility to lead in a responsible way. Leaders must consider the implications of their decisions many times more than the average individual. Their position gets respect because they accept more responsibility than the average individual. If something goes wrong then they are the first to accept blame and try to correct the situation. The government has a responsibility for their time and for the future (and past), their country, the world, the environment, society, themselves, their community, their family and friends. |
