Sustainability is the ongoing survivability of humankind for as many generations as we have had ancestors. To achieve a better world it is necessary to feel secure about our future. The sustainability movement is about the transition to sustainability, moving towards a more secure future and building a better world.
The movement involves a set of goals for humankind to work towards in the interests of survival of our species.
Goals to start and maintain the sustainability movement:
- to facilitate discussion amongst everyone about all aspects of their lifestyles, motivating them to want to make personal changes.
- to support a culture of wisdom that makes the struggle towards sustainable inspirational and interesting.
- to raise awareness of the role of the individual in the transition to sustainability.
In our mission to raise awareness for the individual about sustainability Realise is forming an activist group and a support group.
Activism
Realise activism is aimed raising awareness to the broader public and gaining support for the sustainability movement through a variety of education forms. In effect, the activism of Realise sorts to develop the momentum of the sustainability movement.
Support
Realise recognises the need to take care of its support base through encouragement and support to maintain the momentum of the sustainability movement. Members get support and encouragement for their responsible daily lifestyle choices without criticism or pressure to do more than they are able or more than they are comfortable with at the time.
Realise acknowledges the hardships involved with making wise decisions in our world. The sustainability movement is a way for individuals to unite for the survival of humankind. By coming together for the building of a culture of wisdom it is possible for humankind to exist for as many more generations as we have ancestors.
