This is a very common technique in photography as it allows you to take photographs that do not just have a foreground object in the center of the frame. Exposure locking is a very useful technique for things like landscape photography where you want a foreground object in the photograph. Locking exposure can be done in 4 easy steps�

Step 1�
Set your camera to focus on the center focus point (refer to your manual)

Step 2�
Half press down your shutter button to lock your exposure and focus on the subject

Step 3�
Move your camera so that it positions your subject where you wish

Step 4...
Press the shutter button completely...
