Composition is a main part of taking photographs. The way you compose (place objects on your image) your image can make or break it. A well composed image is one that will more than likely be successful. There is a rule for placing your objects on a photograph is the rule of ninths or as it is sometimes called the rule of thirds. This is basically a way that you can make your photographs more interesting by placing the object of interest on 1 of 4 points. All you have to do is split the image into 9 equal parts like in the diagram below. And use the 4 points that intersect to place your object of interest.

Using this technique to take photographs...
This is a great technique for beginner to add interest to their photographs, most cameras however work on focus points that do not actually comply with this rule, if so you must do the four steps below�

Step 1�
Set your camera to focus on the center focus point (refer to your manual)

Step 2�
Half press down your shutter button to lock your exposure and focus on the subject

Step 3�
Move your camera so that it positions your subject on one of the 4 points of picture and

Step 4...
Press the shutter button...
