Camera shake is when your photographs are slightly blurry because your
camera has moved when you are pressing the shutter button. Especially when
using a lens with a large focal length like a telephoto lens camera shake
can be a problem.
The rule of the thumb
This rule states that when taking a photograph hand held the shutter speed
on the camera should not exceed the length of the lens being used. For
example if you are using an 80mm lens you should not use a shutter speed
higher than 1/90 of a second hand held. If however you are using a tripod
or support you can use pretty much any shutter speed you wish.

Prevent camera shake
The easiest way to prevent shake is to use a tripod, monopod or support.
Tripods and monopods are relatively inexpensive and if you dont want to
carry around a bulky tripod you could always purchase a mini-tripod so you
can frame you picture better using something like a post.
