"NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES HERE!!!"
My dog and I read it, and then shook with fear.
My dog thought the President surely would care,
For dogs, he decided though, nothing is fair.

He climbed up the steps, Rover swallowed his pride.
He straighted his cap, then we both walked inside.
We were met at the door of the classy white place
By a man with a frown a mile long on his face.
"So you say that the President asked to see you?
Well, let me go check and just see if that's true."

He came back and led us both down a long hall.
There were pictures of Presidents lining the wall.

"From here," the man said, "You go that way, then this.
You'll be standing in front of the Oval Office."

Then the frowning man went on his way, yes, he did.
He left us alone there, a dog and a kid!!!

So we did what he said, we turned there and then here,
But the room that we found had a huge chandelier.
We passed by the Green Room, the Red and  the Blue,
WE WERE LOST IN THE WHITE HOUSE,
           NOW, WHAT SHOULD WE DO???

We searched the whole building, we searched every floor,
One hundred and thirty-one rooms, maybe more.
We went upstairs and downstairs, and in doors and out.
Then Rover and I thought we heard a man shout....
