| My dog put his books on her desk in a pile, Then gave her his best and most charming dog smile. Grunting, she checked out the front of each book, Then suddenly her mean face took on a new look. When she got to the book called "HISTORIC WARS FOUGHT" She said, "You may not be as bad as I thought. So you like to read about history and such. It's my favorite subject. I like it so much. At first, when I saw you, you looked a bit scary, Those dark beady eyes....your face a bit hairy. But, now that I see that you like history, too. We may be alike after all, me and you." I said, "He'll be one of your most frequent clients, He also likes any and all kinds of science. My friend likes all subjects, I must say, it's true. Geography's one of his favorites, too. And music and nature and art and mathematics. He even likes reading Shakespearean classics. He wants to learn everything there is to know. From aardvarks to bird's zygodactylous toe." |
