John the Baptist preached repent,
While baptizing in the river Jordan,
He looked up and saw who God had sent.
As John baptized Jesus,
He saw the Spirit descend,
From heaven like a dove,
And it abode upon Him.
Behold the Lamb of God,
John told to everyone,
After Jesus was baptized,
John declared Him to be God's Son.
With two of His disciples,
John stood and gave a nod,
Toward Jesus he said,
Behold the Lamb of God.
Andrew followed Jesus,
Every where He went,
For he knew Jesus was the Christ,
Which God had sent.
He told his brother Simon Peter,
To come and behold,
He found the Savior of the world,
Of which they were told.
The next day, Jesus took Andrew,
And Simon Peter to Galilee,
And found his next disciple, Phillip,
And said to him, Follow Me.
Phillip found Nathanael,
Under a fig tree,
Took him to Jesus,
Who said, Come to Me.
Nathanael asked the question,
How do you know me?
Jesus said, before Phillip called thee,
You were under the fig tree.
Nathanael said thou art God's Son,
And the King of our land,
This was the beginning of the ministry,
Of the great " I Am."
