President's Message
by Pres. Dante Verano
The Governors Visit last Thursday was an inspiring experience to our club. Though we are used to his presence as one of us, the feelings last meeting was a different one. We have DG Efren as an esteemed Guest of Honor doing his official function as Governor of District 3800. The visit provide special attention to some of our concerns and difficulties in achieving our establish plans and objectives. DG Efren motivated us to participate in service activities with outmost commitment. He was also there to personally recognize the outstanding contributions of Rotarians in the club as well as in the District. It was also an opportune time to meet and have some fellowship with some of District Officers, our Zone mates from Marikina and Rotarians from Baras Rizal together with their Mayor. It was indeed a success. This will not happen without the complete support of our officers, members and the spouses to whom I owed my gratitude. The spouses performed well to entertain us with their graceful dance in their beautiful costumes. The food was sumptuous, thanks to those who brought the wine, ice cream, fruits, chicharon that made the fellowship very enjoyable one. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.
Lets cheer our Golf Team for bagging the 3rd place in the 3rd Leg of the District Golf Tournament. Congratulations to PP Onie, PP Boy, PT Edwin, Rtn. Noel, Rtn. Danny for a play well done. Likewise we have to congratulate our Spouse Bowlers: Sps. Miniang for bagging the First Place in High Game (scratch), First Place High Game (with handicap), and First Place in 3-Game series (scratch) and 3rd runner up in the Master Division. Sps. Miniang also bags the Championship Trophy in the Ladies Senior Master Championship of the Pasig Bowling Association. Spouse Corie Ong is the Champion in the Graded Master (scratch) and Graded Master (with handicap). We are really proud of you. Syempre let us acknowledge their coaches, PP Joe and PP Boy Ong.
This coming Sunday let us give our moral support to our hopeful Bowling Team in their quest for the championship rounds. Good luck to all our players.

"GOVERNORS VISIT / LADIES NIGHT"
Last November 14, 2002, DG Efren de Guzman together with other District Officers, visited our club. DG Efren and party arrived as early as 4 pm in the afternoon and started a one on one conference with Pres. Dante, PE Dindo and Sec. Vincent. He went over our clubs plans and objectives, our accomplished projects and other scheduled activities. Knowing the ins and outs of our club, he gave his honest and very constructive and inspiring evaluation and suggestions for the improvement and further upliftment of our club and its members.
RC Marikina gave DG Efren and party a taste of our clubs hospitality. We had a very lively and well-coordinated meeting. No less than the best and handsomest Rotarians were fielded in the different parts of the program from the Invocation down to the weekly raffle. Of course our emcee for the night was no other than PP Eric also known as the handsome President. Entertainment was provided by the Hula dancers of the Inner
