• Hull No.:  #246  [the next to last A37 delivered]

• Built:  Oct.86 – May 87 by Whitby Boatworks

• Color:  white with off-white decks and green trim.

• Teak cabin eyebrows. 

• Split boot top was raised 3” when built 

• At our request (to reduce maintenance), fiberglass was used in lieu of teak for cockpit seat and lazerette hatch inserts as well as for the companionway slide.

• Exterior brightwork needs re-finishing. (planned -spring '01)

• Appearance would benefit from an Awlgrip.

GROUND TACKLE:

• 45# CQR on bow roller.

• T-3000 Danforth.

• SL 555 manual windlass (special deck preparation by Whitby).

• Forepeak divider (installed by Whitby) for two anchor rodes.

ENGINE:

• Volvo 2003 diesel – fresh water cooled.

• Fixed 3 blade prop.

• Does NOT have gauges for temp and oil pressure. 

RIGGING & HARDWARE: 

• Headstay upgraded to 5/16”

• Uppers upgraded to 5/16”

• Double ¼” back stays (instead of split)

• Hood 915LD furling gear.

• Extra 6’ of through bolted genoa track aft. (by Whitby)

• Mid-boom sheeting with dual mainsheets and self-tailing winches.

• Oversize primary self tailing winches (#46 - 2 speed)

• Bronze seacocks.

• Bonded thru hulls fittings.

• Dynaplate.

• Zinc mounting plate.

• Drain plug in keel.

INTERIOR:

• Mark III lay out with reversed chart table (in lieu of quarter berth) and double sinks.

• Cabinets to starboard in lieu of pilot berth.

• Teak strips in main cabin overhead.

• Upgraded cushions (with buttons) in main cabin.

• 5” foam cushions forward.

• Shower sump with dedicated pump.

• Icebox drain arranged to pump into galley sink.

• Balmar 120 bulkhead mounted diesel cabin heater (seldom used – needs attention)

• Clock, barometer, oil lamp, 12V fan, misc teak fittings.

• Nicro solar vent on main hatch. 

• 2-burner propane stove with oven and gas sniffer.

ELECTRONICS & NAVIGATION:

• Full Datamarines (wind, speed, depth and control panel).

• Apelco LCD Radar.

• Loran.

• GPS  (1999).

• Tecnomin 16 circuit breaker panel.

• Fixed radar reflector.

• Navico pedestal mount self-steering.

• Richie SP-C pedestal compass (~1993).

SAILS:

• Main (North): very good condition - retrofitted with full length battens and lazy jacks.

• Genny 135% (North):  good condition  -recut to replace UV panels in 1999.

• Mizzen (North):   good condition.

• Cruising Spinnaker with snuffer (North):  excellent condition.

• “Storm Jib” – (?):  Modified #3 headsail from previous boat – good condition.

OTHER:

• Dodger (replaced in 1998).

• Sail Covers (replaced in 1998).

• Cockpit cushions – foam (off white).

• Propane system (replaced 1999).

• Achilles 8’6” inflatable dink – "usable" condition (fits nicely on foredeck).

• 2HP Mariner outboard (old – but still runs).

• Horseshoe buoy with strobe.

• Lifesling.

• Stereo/cassette.

• 10” TV (picture tube is “going”).

• 110V shore power cord.
