| Now, you will not need to bother with the bottom shaft to fix this problem. the large silver clutchbell on the top shaft is where the problem is located. if you hold the bottom gear on the shaft and pull up on the clutchbell, it should come off. be careful, as the clutch shoes will fall out if youre not. once you remove the silver cltuchbell, youll see the clutch shoes and a block in the middle. the block has eight sides. it looks like a rectangle with the corners ground down some. loook at the area where the corners have ben gorund off. you will see that the points are nice and sharp. use a file to grind down the edges untill they are rounded off and no longer sharp... do not grind off too much, as that will cause infinite slipping, but just enough so they are no longer sharp. replace the block, cutch shoes, and then slide the clutchbell back on. line the two shafts up on each other so they look as they did when they came out and slide them back into place. replace the disk pads and reassemble the brake system. slide the two sides of the tranny back together and reinsert the screws. note: make sure you reinstall the clutch disengauge slider properly. with the same twisting and shaking mtoion that got it out, replace the transmission on the chassis. slide the universal joins back on and reinsert the grub screws. this can be a painstaking and annoying process, but they WILL go in. keep in mind they only screw in on one side though. make sure you ge them in, as if you dont you will have no power going to the wheels! once those are back on, replace the 6 screws and then replace the rollover bar. replace the spur/clutchbell cover and thenre-attatch your throttle linkage. repalce you brake linkage next and then replace you clutch disengauge slider linkage last, making sure you get the measurement right. make sure everything it tight, and go out and enjoy your non-slipping terra crusher! |
