The Economic History Resource

I find this the most fascinating web site in the world. Have you ever been curious about the current value of your first job? The first job I ever had paid me 12-16 dollars a night (four hours). I was a kid in junior high and the job consisted of catching chickens and putting them in crates. That doesn't sound like much, but in today's dollars it would be 37-50 dollars! Not too bad for a kid!

SoYouWanna.com

"SoYouWanna.com teaches you how to do all the things nobody taught you in school". Is what the website says about itself. It really is a lot of fun to browse thru this site and see detailed instructions on things that you were always too embarrassed to ask any one how to do. Thanks to this site, I can tie a tie!

How Stuff Works

This is another site that's nice to screw around on. If you ever wonder about how anything works, no matter how esoteric, they've probably got it here. I always wonder how sites like this make it. There are only a couple of real small ads on it and I can't believe they generate that much revenue. Oh, well it's fun to check it out while it's around!

I have been a member of the Power Shack for a couple of years. I wished that I would have taken better advantage of it during this time span, but I still feel it is a super place to work out. It is really clean and the people who work there are super friendly and helpful. If you join a health club in Columbus, this is as good as it gets.

I spend a lot of time at the library. It is a resource, I can't believe more people don't take advantage of. I really like the fact I can get on the web, while watching an interview I am interested in and order the book they are talking about. It amazes me, in the world of Amazon and Blockbuster, that there is a place you can get just about any book you would want to read for free! And it's subsidized by the government! Is this a great country or what?
