The Longest Yard Happy Madison Productions & Paramount Pictures Filmed: July/August 2004 Release Date: 31 May 2005
This Adam Sandler project is a remake of the 1974 Burt Reynolds' successful picture, The Longest Yard." It was lensed here in Santa Fe, NM at the old state pen, where other recent films have been shot. It was renamed (for the film) Allenville Federal Penitiary. The initials 'AFP' were turned into a humorous topic among some of the extras on the set. Some guys came from out of state to be on this film. It was a difficult shoot with weather amongst other things being a factor but it still remained a great addition to the resume and a terrific experience for all of us invoilved in this fine film. - Thanx Adam!

The FIELD This place struck dread into the hearts and souls of the extras unfortunate to be called to work there
The entrance to "Allenville Federal Penitentiary" that we all saw every day as we reported in at our call time. Nowhere is there a more dreary sight.
This is the scene where the initial call for football players is posted. See how green the trees are? They're painted green - that's why!

A unique view of one of the 'guards' at his station These guys really did an excellent job
The wording below the clock reads, 'Responsibility, Respect, Rehabilitation' The entire facade of the 'rotunda' is false but it looks cool
