Definition of Orphans

Orphans in English called 'orphanage'. Literally "orphaned" comes from the Arabic language. Of fi'il Adli "Yatama" mudlori "yaitamu" dab mashdar "units" which means sad or means alone.

Terms Orphans In terms of Islamic Syariah

As in the words of Islamic law is the orphan is a child who was left to die by his father before he reached puberty. Limit or period called orphan is a child until the child has reached puberty and adulthood. For people who have grown up and then losing a parent is not called orphans because they are already able to support and care for themselves. It is suitable for children because they can not afford to maintain and support themselves and still need assistance and help from others.

"The orphan boy means a small (lower age), who has no parents, whether the child male or female, whether she has a grandfather or no. Including small boy child adultery, children's and infants are denied because of li 'an between husband and wife. Eventhough also Malaysia's Malay community has another term that is meant as orphans who have lost both parents, even though this term does not exist in Islamic law. Orphan is a child who died father or both while it is small or not yet reached puberty. Islam enjoined mankind to do good relations with the orphans, providing protection and education as well as providing for their rights.
