Over 16 years ago I retired from the U S Postal Service. My wife took retirement as long as she could, and then got me started in drawing and watercolor classes with her at the Senior Center. Just prior to that I had purchased some Der Went water color pencils, Caron D'Ache water pastels and oil pastels, and some books. The instructors, we had at the Senior Center were and are signature members of the Pikes Peak Water color Society. I continued painting and scanned the paintings into my computer, eventually making cards with the paintings on the front to send to our former instructors. In this manner I kept them apprised of my progress. We were invited to every show that they had at the Pikes Peak Center. Upon advice from one of our instructors, and encouragement from the other, I have started this endeavor. If nothing else, it keeps me occupied, and hopefully, entertaining to some. Ray Bachelder |
