Bijou Springs Ranch
11x15 watercolor - there were two other paintings in this series. One was two herford calves looking out at the viewer, with mesas in the background, my daughter got that one. The other is the companion barn and loading chute to the left of the ranch house. It's framed and on the wall.
              Baptist Church in Victor
11x15 watercolor pencil. The mortar was layed down first then brushed with turpenol then the stones were laid in. I attempted to show the washboard road on the right.
               Australian Gum Tree
8.5x11 60# linen watercolor pencil student work. Even though I had been told it wouldn't work, it seemed to for me.

                 El Quetzel
11x15 watercolor- the scan doesn't show it , but I used a pearl irridescent in this one (seen below). I've used the irridescent sparingly, as water dripping from the mouth of a short horn cow, just looking up from a drink and for the rings around their hocks as they stand in the pond. You can only see this from the proper light angle so it's a hidden goodie. It's framed and not shown here.

                Nightfeed
7.5x11 oil pastel Caron d'Ache neo color. The sky and bird were turpenol brush loaded with pigment from the crayon, while the foreground and fence were laid down dry and then brushed with turpenol.
                     Rainforest
9x12 watercolor pencil student work - light dark contrasting, burnishing, and building depth.
On the next and last page for now is a comparison sheet showing four thumbnails of the media I am currently using. I would appreciate any comments you might make in my guest book. Thank you.
