All Your Update Are Belong To Us
11:46 am

It has been a while.

Some nice format changes are occuring around the site in general that you should be aware of. First, notice the brand new logo. Created by none other than my own mother, Tina, so send your exudated praise to her whenever. More artwork from her may or may not be forthcoming. Next, I've decided to change the focus of the site just a bit. Instead of making a general homepage in which I attempt to branch out into different areas of fandom (game guides, rants, art, ect), I've decided to stick to what I do good. Namely, reviews. As a result, the previous category of Games has been officially replaced with Reviews. If I do decide to create more game guides or just repost the ones I've already completed then I'll bring Games back, or perhaps make a Misc. category or something to that effect. Finally, notice that I've removed the "Table for One" rant. This is a permanent change designed to make the general status of this webpage a little more accessible in general. No, I won't elaborate. The Rant section will stick around for the foreseeable future though, as I have a number of rants that I'm juggling at the moment.

Now that everyone is up to speed, let me direct your attention back to the Review section. The general plan is that I'm going to work my ass off reformating the 43 reviews I already have posted on RPGamer. I'm doing this because a) it gives this site some content and b) I can finally write reviews the way I want. While the censorship hasn't been too bad a problem, I just cannot stand having the reviews I submit changed in ways I didn't intend. Changing "ass" to "aft," not italicizing or bolding designated words, linking to wrong pictures and reviews, losing entire paragraphs and so on. Moreoever, the bulk of the reviews I submitted were sent in during a contest period (first to 20), and are thusly pretty rushed. So one thing you can expect within the next few weeks--if I can hammer out a review template--are the 43 original reviews that I've already submitted. In addition, I've been working on "updated" versions of some of the reviews I've already submitted. So far I've updated Final Fantasy 7 and Xenogears, with the former being the what is currently uploaded. As can be inferred with the other buttons in the Reviews section, movie and anim reviews will be forthcoming. You can also expect some non-RPG reviews in a big way, as I do have a fair amount of those types of games.

As before, a lot of this depends on quite a few factors. In addition to continuing to go to the Anim Club, I recently joined the soon-to-be D&D Club. While this shouldn't have to much of an effect on the actual updating of this site--since those clubs meet on Fridays and Sundays and I work Tuesday and Thursday--it will in some way hamper the amount of free time I have to write reviews, make a template, and so on. You also may or may not be aware of the impending release of Xenosaga. I might not update after Feburary 25th for a while. That's a ways off however, so in the meantime I'll do what I can.

That's about enough from me. Not a bad way to start 2003, I think.
