About me

Rui(Ray) Tu

This website is about my final dissertation project of the
MSc degree. I am an MSc student of the Software Systems Technology in Computer Science Department of the University
of Sheffield from October 2001 to September 2002. My first degree is automation in the College of Electronic Information and Control Engineering of the Beijing Polytechnic University,
one of the key universities in China(Beijing Polytechnic University and Tsinghua University, expect medical schools, are two universities which provide 5-year courses so far in China).

I am a person full of curiosity. After I had my first computer as I was sixteen, I was interested in the Internet, computer software and computer application with the goal to become a good software engineer. During the studying in the University, I systematically studied courses of Java programming, UML analysis, database designing, math modeling and so on. They include: Fundamental of Object Oriented Programming, Computer Architectures, Database Technology, Software Analysis and Design, HCI and Graphics, Advanced Java Programming, etc. Actually I have achieved brilliant score in most courses due to my great efforts.

In addition, I have obtained some computer certificates such as MCPS (Microsoft Certified Product Specialist), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and SCJP (Sun Certified Java Programmer). During my undergraduate study, I began to work for experience as a computer programmer in the China Digital Finance Corporation. I participated in the project to design the China Everbright Bank payment gateway system for on-line payment system and the project of call-center of the Beijing International Exhibition Center. This experience give me a good chance to study how to become a good software engineer.
