Horseshoe Harbour sits out the front of the station, and at 80 metres depth, it is quite a deep natural harbour. Beyond the harbour the ocean is dotted with little islands, providing breeding grounds for Adelie penguins, as well as good views! The views on each side of the station are of West and East Bay, and are very hard to put up with, as you can see below. Behind the station is the rise of the great icesheet that covers the continent, through which the tops of the Framnes Mountains poke (these are called Nunataks).
This site is designed to be viewed at a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If your computer can't handle this, it is time to get a new computer!
