| I did not mean to go so long without writing. Of course, you would have no way of knowing that much time has passed since my last entry. Perhaps ten minutes after my last entry, I went into labor. As near as I can tell it was just about exactly an hour after that cat told me it would be an hour. My newest daughter, whom I named Krystyl, is now a month old. Jarla and Neril are thrilled to have her around. Neril was confused at first, wondering where her other half was. They seemed to think that since they were twins, that any other children I had would be twins as well. As for the cats, which I was telling you about before, the two females of the intelligent ones have both given birth to litters. The tabby, who I suppose I will refer to as Spot, since Tiger would be too obvious, had four, while the other one, who for lack of any other name I could come up with, I will call Arla (ok, yes she's kinda named after my daughter, but hey, i'm not too creative so please bear with me) had two. Prince, the male who introduced me to the fine art of cat communication, seems insulted that they consorted with other males. A weird fact I've come to realize is that the cats will only speak to those of us that are fertile. In their point of view, the sterile people are a waste. Of course I do not agree with them at all, all life being precious, but the cats will not be persuaded otherwise. They do not understand why we would consider other people, who could not contribute to the perpetuation of the human race, important. Perhaps we will come to change their opinions after a while. We will see. Prince predicting my eminent birth turned out to be a regular happening. He, as well as the two females, have accurately predicted the exact times of the two other births since mine. Makes things a little bit easier if you ask me. I have been informed that I can take a break from child bearing for a short while..........a short while being two or three years. Everyone else feels that since my first children were twins, and Krystyl made three children I had borne, to everyone elses one or two children, that I had earned a break. I've been joking with the others that they have to catch up with me. Well, till the morrow I will be leaving you. Christine |
