| I cannot wait for this pregnancy to be over. It seems like I've been pregnant forever, and I'll probably be kept in a state of pregnancy for quite a while. Anyhow, I think I can more or less wrap this up in this entry. A few more days passed before I was given the chance to leave my hut again. I was only allowed out under guard of course. My captors were rough and crude, beyond a doubt, but they were not stupid. They knew that I would run given any single chance, and they were not about to allow that. The runner they had sent to their other location had returned. The only reason their leader hadn't sent me straight away was that the runner informed him that the town wasn't ready, and to allow them at least a week before sending me that way. If not for that, I fear I would still be with them, as my friends would not have known where to find me. They did their best to settle me into a routine. The leader came at least once a day to accompany me on a walk around their filthy little village. He tried to make me take my meals with him, but when I refused to eat, he allowed me to take my meals in private again. He seemed to be trying to make it somewhat pleasant for me, but face it, captivity is captivity. The last night of my captivity he came to me and informed me that I would be shipped out on the morrow. I must admit that I fell into a worse depression than I'd been in since the beginning of my captivity. I knew my friends would not simply abandon me, but they wouldn't know where to find me if I was moved from here. It looked like I would be living out the rest of my life with a group of people I could find nothing to care about. As you know that wasn't to be. My captors were in the process of clearing out the village to take me to my new location, when I heard a loud shout. I recognized Alex's voice, and never had I heard such anger in him. Not many words could be understood. The voices of my friends were so raised with anger, and the voices of my captors so clouded with hate. It was coming to blood, I knew this. The door to my hut was just about torn off as it was flung open. Alex rushed in, grabbing my arm and helping me to my feet. He handed me out the door to more of my friends. I could hear the sounds coming from all around me, although, thankfully, I could see nothing of the fighting. I don't care to describe the sounds either, as there is no reason to describe the sound of people dying, being killed horribly. My friends had come in force, and even as the fighting still continued, I was helped onto the back of a horse, and accompanied away from the awful place I had been kept. The majority of those who had come to rescue me stayed behind to discourage pursuit. As I was protected from the sight of the fighting, and hurried away from the place, I can tell you no more of what happened. I hope this has covered any curiosity you might have had, if any, about my days in captivity. I don't plan to bring it up again, as I do not see how it will be relevant. Till the morrow Christine |
