I have been working for about four years as of august 2002. I started
off by working with Forward Financial Services as a trainee where i was
placed after MMS. I worked in this firm for 3-4 months after which i 
got a call from Reliance industries where i had applied when i was in 
business school.
I worked in Reliance industries for about two and half years starting
nov 1998 out of which one year was as a management trainee. For the
remaining period i worked in different business units in Reliance as
MIS officer with the resposibility of developing/integrating MIS systems. 
During this period i got certified from Sun Microsystems and i felt a 
need to try out different things. 
So i hunted around and got selected by Waltech Inc. for a resident 
programmer in US. I was scheduled to fly out in Dec 2000 (planned to 
quit Reliance around Dec 2000) around this time i lost my dad. Since
i had decided to move, i started looking for a new job.
This time things were really bad as the software sector was down in the 
dumps (and everything else was already in the dumps!!). I managed to 
land a job in Tera Informatics in jun 2001 as a Sr. Programmer doing
radically different things like designing unix like clients and writting
display drivers.
About a year in Tera i wanted to get back to my roots and do stuff in 
java. At this point of time Mastek was looking for people in java. I 
got selected and joined Mastek in july 2002.
