| Circle Casting |
| Cicle castings are a very important aspect of performing spells and rituals. They serve purposes of protection from harm when performing them. Many people chose the size of the cirlce, where it's going to be, and the colour of the circle. (The colour should be associated with what the spell is see : Candle Magick |
| To start the casting of the Circle... 1. Clear any animals, people, furniture and anything else that you don't want to be part of the cicle. Altars are okay, the are part of the ritual/spell. 2. Decide on a colour that you want the circle to be. See: Candle Magick for help. 3. IWth a wand or finger, start to draw the cirlce as big as you want it to be. Imagin the colour of the circle extending out of the tip of the wand or finger as you walk around the circle three times. 4. The second time around the circle... say: I ask that this circle protect me from harm, As I work in the spell casting / ritual. I ask that the Goddess be with me in my work And protect me from harm. 5. Walk around the cirlce a third time (remembering that you are still CASTING it and that you need to see the colours coming out of the wand or finger! Say: This circle is a sacred place. So mote it be! 6. Invite the spirits of North, South , East and West by holding your athame, index finger, wand and drawing a Pentagram for each direction and asking them to aid you in your spell casting. 7. To open the cirlce: walk around the circle COUNTERCLOCKWISE and say : I send this cirlcle into the cosmos to do my bidding The cirlce is undone but not broken. |
