The Ven. Kotte Devananda Thero was formerly Mr. Patrick Silva (Laymen's Name). He was the son of Mr. John Silva, who was killed in the famous " Hara Lakshaye Mankollaya " ( Four Lakhs Murder ).
Years after his father's murder, Mr. Patrick Silva (who was the only child in the family) entered the order of Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka, as Ven. Kotte Devananda Thero. A taste of the Dhamma Sermons from the Organisation due to him, are given below.
