themes. If you're under 18 and read this then there's not much I can do
about it, just don't email me and bitch about your mind being warped due
to the matrial I write. If you're gonna do that, then don't read it.
Star Trek:Deep Space 9 doesn't belong to me, neither does the character
Kira Nerys.
I wrote this thing a few years ago, while I was working out some issues.
I'm not so into Deep Space 9 anymore, but I spent a lot of time on it,
so I figure it deserves a place on my webpage. It's kinda juvenille writing,
pretty undeveloped, eposodic, and unfinished, but yeah. I might finish
it sometime. I'll post something on the title if I do.
So, without further babble, here's the story.

Chapter 1
"Move!! Move!!" Someone yelled, over all the other confusion. Alyth Riyaz
sat up and tried to make sense of her surroundings. Frightened Bajorans
were running and screaming, carrying what little they had with them. Within
seconds, Alyth was up and running as fast as her exhausted legs would
carry her. Suddenly Alyth fell to the ground as her foot sunk into a palakousse
hole. Grimacing, Alyth yanked her foot out of the hole and continued running,
searching frantically for a place to hide. The injury did cause her to
run slower and in a moment of decisiveness, she dropped to the ground,
pretending to be dead. The bulk of the thundering footsteps passed her
and she let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding.
Almost deciding she'd get up, she felt a kick to her ribs and fell back
down with a moan. Roughly, a Cardassian turned her over.
"This one is still alive. She's not bad looking either, for a Bajoran."
One of the officers said.
"Okay, then help me carry her to where all the other survivors are."
"Help you? You mean to say you can't carry this scrawny Bajoran yourself?"
She heard a punch land. "No, I'm just saying she's your girlfriend."
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Fine then. Leave her here."
yes, Alyth thought, please leave me here. Inspite of her
hopes, she felt herself being roughly thrown over one of the Cardassian
officer's shoulder. He groped her butt.
"She's gonna be a fighter alright. Nice and muscular. She'll make a good
treat." Alyth tried to stay conscious and aware of where she was being
taken but as the shock set in the world went dark.

Chapter 2
Alyth woke in a prisoner camp with her shirt inside out and her pants
beside her. She didn't remember lapsing into unconsciousness but she obviously
had. Sitting up, Alyth could feel how bruised her thighs, hips, and breasts
were. Atleast I didn't feel it. Alyth thought. Slowly, soundlessly,
she dressed herself without waking anyone, which was an accomplishment
in itself. Bajorans were known to be notoriously light sleepers.
Trying to stand, her left ankle throbbed and refused to carry much weight,
not enough to walk on. Sitting down, gently probing her ankle with her
fingers, Alyth became quite certain it was broken, in atleast three places.
Her right hip also felt like it was dislocated. She sat there for a long
time, contemplating what had just happened, and what to do now. She heard
someone screaming and crying from the interrogation room. A loud cry woke
several of the other prisoners, who surveyed her with open distrust.
"Who are you?" An angry man asked her.
"Alyth Riyaz, I'm a lieutenant in the Shakaar cel."
The man grabbed her chin and looked into her eyes. "A little young, aren't
you?"
"I am 21. Anyway, that doesn't matter right now. I need a medic, I think
that my right hip is dislocated."
The man roughly probed her hip and nodded. "You're right. Sarkaiah, hold
her still." And quickly but firmly the man pushed her hip back into the
joint.
"Aaah. Ouch. Much better, I think." Alyth smiled tightly.
"You're tough, kid. That'll feel better by morning but that ankle looks
broken."
"I think it is. I fell into a palakousse hole running from an invasion
of my camp. We couldn't possibly be lucky enough to have a simple med
kit around, could we?" Alyth read the slightly amused expression on the
Bajoran's face. "Didn't really think so. My luck hasn't been so hot lately."
"Being here is more than just a stroke of bad luck, believe me."
"I don't want to know that. But I do want to know your name."
"Keirayn Rayell."
"Keirayn. I'll remember that."
Keirayn shot her an annoyed glance. "You'd best be getting some sleep
princess, the damn Cardies don't care if you're injured or not. It'll
be a long day for you tomorrow."
Alyth laid down silently and quickly fell asleep.

Chapter 3
"Get up you Bajoran scum!" A Cardassian office yelled as he walked through
the compound, kicking the still sleeping Bajorans. Alyth tried to stand
but fell back to her knees as her ankle buckled.
"Aaah." That noise was enough to attract the overseer's attention and
her walked over to her. Alyth looked up at him boldly and evenly, praying
that her eyes didn't betray her fear.
"I remember you," he smiled a horrible, twisted smile and pulled her up
to press his lips against hers almost savagely. A firm hand in her butt,
and a caress of her breast sent a shiver down her spine but Alyth let
him, fearing the consequences of her uncooperativeness. "Please do tell
me you won't be able to work in the mine today, my dear. I'm sure that
we can make other arrangements for your -- duties today."
Alyth held her head up and looked right into the overseer's eyes as she
spoke with a calm that she didn't feel. "I'll work today, don't you worry
about that."
The overseer let her stand on her own, still keeping a firm hand on one
of her small breasts. "A pity, child. But we thought you'd say that and
I'm sure that we can make other plans."
"Somehow I didn't doubt that for a second."
"Are you looking forward to it? Do you like having all these big Cardassian
men at your whim? I mean what Bajoran wouldn't?"
"You hardly seem to be at my whim."
"Oh, you'd be surprised, child."
Alyth picked up a pick and dug it into the solid rock, teetering a touch
on her throbbing ankle but not falling. Clenching her teeth, Alyth dug
into the rock again. The overseer came up behind her, and reached between
her legs and groped her swollen breast again before throwing her to the
ground. The gravel floor bit at her hands, and her hip throbbed as she
landed on it hard. Kicking her, the overseer walked away.
"No one help her," he called, waving a whip in the air as a vague threat.
Looking back at her he laughed, a crude, repulsive sound, and walked to
the other side of the compound.

Chapter 4
The day crawled by, only interrupted for short meal breaks of cold, tasteless
mush. Or atleast Alyth was told that it was tasteless, but she thought
it bitter and mouldy tasting. During the dinner break, Keirayn slipped
her a vial of something or other. "Drink it, it'll numb your pain." was
all he whispered. True, it did numb her ankle and her hip, but it made
her movements sluggish and take more effort.
Night seemed to come slowly but when it did, Alyth was only too happy
to slowly unwrap her fingers from the pick handle and stumble to what
was supposed to be the living quarters. The thoughts of the overseer's
threats left her as soon as she laid down. It felt good to know that there
were no prying Cardassian eyes undressing her mentally as she worked,
that she was aware of, at least, and it felt even better to let her muscles
rest. Within what must've been seconds, she was asleep. And within what
felt like seconds later, she was roughly awoke by an unfamiliar gaurd.
"Time for interrogation," was all he said.
Alyth looked up at the underside of the bunk above her. "I don't know
anything."
"We'll get you there one was or another."
"I'll walk." Alyth drew herself up to her full height of maybe 5'1'' and
looked at him almost proudly before she marched out of the room. Two officers,
who'd been waiting outside of the doorway grabbed her and walked her to
the interrogation room. When they got there, they threw her in, and Alyth
stumbled to the floor. A small cluster of gaurds, officers, and overseers
gathered around her and a grip of panic held her chest.
With some effort, Alyth managed to stay enigmatically silent. An officer
came around behind her, and she tried to watch him without taking her
eyes off of the others but this momentary distraction was all they needed.
The officer behind her grabbed her arms and the gathering crowd infront
of her edged forward. Alyth gasped and waited for what she anticipated
to come next.
"What? Is the little Bajoran girl scared?" one of them said. He kept walking
closer and closer until she could smell the rankness of his breath. "Well,
we'll show you that there's nothing to be afraid of. You might even enjoy
this."
"I really doubt that."
The Cardassian backhanded Alyth across the jaw. She only looked at him
evenly. "That's for talking back." He hissed. Then he kissed her savagely,
pushing his scaly tongue far back in her mouth with no hint of gentleness.
He drew away enough to meet Alyth's ice blue eyes.
"And what was that for?" she whispered.
"The officer looked infuriated and yelled something unintelligible. "I'll
show you, bitch." was all Alyth could pick out.
He pressed himself against her hard, and pushed his hand underneath her
pants and between her legs. Alyth tried to move away from him but she
was held down and the Cardassian was heavy on top of her. Forcing her
legs apart, her hip popped loudly and Alyth groaned. The Cardassian smiled
as he pulled off her clothes and his own uniform.
Alyth thrashed around as much as she could, making it hard for him to
enter her but it didn't seem to matter. Alyth cried out as he thrust into
her violently, which caused him to seal his mouth over hers to stifle
her cries. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she wished to the prophets,
that she was just about anywhere else as the Cardassian violently raped
her. Finally, he laid heavily on top of her, spent. Thrusting into her
one last time, he left her.
Alyth reflexively curled into a ball on the dirt floor, still held down
by the brawny Cardassian behind her. Tears rolled down her face as she
muttered vague profanities in Bajoran, roughly translating to,'you
horrible bastard'.
"Really?" the Cardassian said after a minute, apparently well versed in
Bajoran profanities. He was now dressed and very intimidating to Alyth.
"Is that really what you think, you Bajoran whore?" he spat on her. "You
should thank me for being quick. Gul Darheel here might not be as generous."
A tremble coursed through Alyth as a dirty, naked Cardassian forced his
penis inside Alyth's mouth. The touch of a disrupter point to her head
minded her not to bite. What must've been minutes seemed to stretch into
days but finally he came into her mouth, almost causing her to choke.
"Swallow it!" he commanded. Alyth sat motionless for a moment.
"Swallow, you bitch." He repeated. The Cardassian behind her thumped Alyth
on the back, giving her no choice. Gagging on the awful taste of Cardassian
cum, Alyth weakly coughed as he forced her down and stuck his slimy tongue
up her vagina. Biting and scratching, he made his way up to her mouth,
leaving bleeding teeth marks on her breasts and four sets of bleeding
half moon lines up and down her body.
Instead of kissing her, he looked Alyth straight in the eyes as he raped,
mauled and mutilated her body. Behind him, Alyth could see a sizeable
crowd of Cardassians, all in various stages of dress and undress, waiting
for Gul Darheel or whoever was on top of her to be done so they could
have their turn. In dispair, all Alyth could do was try to thrash against
the vice-like grip of the brawny Cardassian holding her down.

Chapter 5
The rest of the night faded into a haze of exhaustion, shock and pain.
The last thing Alyth could vaguely recall was being dragged into her bunking
quarter and thrown in with her clothes beside her.
"Oh prophets, Alyth. Alyth, can you hear me? Are you okay?" Keirayn had
woke quickly to the sound of the opening door.
"They...interrogated me... My-- my hip, Keirayn." It felt funny to talk
and to Alyth her voice seemed small and distant.
"Say no more." And tenderly he pushed her leg back into the joint. Alyth
moaned like an animal in pain but hardly moved, except for clenching her
fists weakly. Keirayn looked into her face tenderly. He could see where
purple bruising was beginning to form, and the places where the skin was
broken begin to swell. Tomorrow, he figured she'd be hardly recognizable.
"Don't, don't look at me. " Alyth muttered.
"Alyth, I'm going to help you get dressed, okay? But I need your help
so don't pass out on me just yet. Okay, can you lift this foot? Good girl.
It's okay, I'm just putting on your pants. Now bend..."

Chapter 6
Keirayn woke to the Cardassian overseer yelling at everyone to wake up.
Alyth didn't so much as stir, only having been asleep for two or so hour
after such a hard night. He checked on her quickly, surveying the bruising
on her face and making sure that her hip had stayed in place during the
night. With shaking hands, he checked for a pulse. Thankfully, there was
one but somewhere within himself, he knew that if things kept up the way
they were, one day there wouldn't be one.
"Where is she? " The overseer appeared at the doorway.
"Sleeping, thank the prophets. They nearly killed her last night." Keirayn
spoke without fear, feeling strangely protective of Alyth. The overseer
walked toward her and Keirayn stepped into his path.
"Move out of my way."
"No. If you don't want to kill her, you'll leave her be."
The overseer raised his whip and brought it down across his face. Keirayn's
head whipped back and he passed out. The overseer stepped over him and
looked at Alyth almost lovingly. The rush he got from studying her bruised,
swollen and mutilated face was close to sexual. He kissed her roughly
and groped between her legs. Alyth weakly tossed through the haze of sleep
she was in, causing the overseer to press even harder against her. Alyth
moaned as he crawled on top of her, starting to tear at her pants.
Gul Darheel appeared at the door and scowled. "Really, can't you control
yourself until tonight? You're duties are to make sure the Bajorans in
the mines are working, now why aren't you doing that?"
The overseer backhanded Alyth in frustration as he crawled off of her
and went to fulfil the Gul's orders. "Later you'll get it, bitch." He
mumbled as he walked out.

Chapter 7
Keirayn was the first to wake. His head hurt like a son-of-a-bitch and
he could feel acutely where the whip had torn away the flesh on his face.
Lifting his hand to the wound, it only met with sticky blood. Cursing,
he tried to wipe away most of the blood as to not startle Alyth when she
woke up. Keirayn gently brushed a lock of hair away from a cut on Alyth's
forehead and left a bloody fingerprint where he'd touched her. Gingerly,
he tried to rub it away but Alyth cringed at his touch and her eyes fluttered
open.
"Keirayn?"
"Yes, it's me. Don't talk just yet, you've been asleep for, uh, I'd say
18 or so hours now." Alyth nodded. "Do you remember what happened last
night?" A pained look came across her face as she tried to search for
the memories. Suddenly, sheer terror seeme d to envelope all of her features
and she curled into a ball on the dirty mattress.
"Prophet," she gasped, "Keirayn, the--the, the interrogation...All they
did was watch-and wait, for their turn. Prophets, Keirayn, Keirayn. They,
they, they..." Alyth lapsed into silence as tears welled up in her steel
blue eyes and ran down her pale skin. Running her hands through her short
black hair, she rocked back and forth.
Keirayn felt bad for bringing up such awful memories. He reached out and
gently brushed his finger across her leg. Alyth flinched at the touch
and painfully drew her legs further toward her. In such a position, she
could see the bite marks on her breasts as well as the rest of the cuts
and mutilations on her body. That was when Alyth outright cried. Somehow
it was real now . And so was the knowledge that they'd probably do it
again tonight.

Chapter 8
People saw very little of Alyth in the weeks to follow. The Cardassians
had exempted her from working in the mines on most days so she could serve
them at night. And when she did it was only until she'd collapse or turn
a ghastly shade of green and run off somewhere to throw up what little
was in her stomach. However, on most days she'd just sleep in the deserted
living quarters. Periodically, especially at meal time, the overseer or
Gul Darheel would go there, stay for an hour or so, then leave.
Keirayn was the only one who seemed to notice the increasing gauntness
of Alyth's features. She'd probably lost 15 pounds and gained 10 years
in the month or so she'd been there. It was no secret that he was concerned
for her, especially the emotional and spiritual blows that these Cardassians
were taking at her. Since that first night there had been no more tears
or really any acknowledgement at all that this was happening to her, except
for the fact that she wouldn't let anyone touch her at all. The most she'd
tollerate were quick brushes from Keirayn, but most others didn't even
get that much.
"Keirayn," Alyth said quietly in the darkness after bedtime on night.
The compound had now acquired some new high-ranking resistance cel member,
so now there were some actual interrogations were going on tonight. Some
screaming and crying was coming from the rooms, with no sounds of stopping
soon so Alyth had a few extra minutes. "Keirayn." he said again.
"Yeah."
"Why do you care so much? I mean, everyone else thinks that I'm a sell-out
or a collaborator or something and that I let them do this to me to get
out of working in the mines. So why do you care?"
"They do not either think that."
"I know that they do. But you don't. Why?"
Keirayn sighed. "Because I've been here for too long."
"So that's why your eyes fill with tears everytime the Gul or some Leagit
or whoever throw me in here after a hard night? And that's why you help
me pull myself together every morning? No, I don't buy it. Next."
"Alyth, you don't want to hear it. "
"Try me."
After a few moments of silence, obviously Alyth waiting for Keirayn to
talk, he began to tell her his story. "Well, um, when I was younger, about
18 or so, I was in a, what's the term for them? A refugee camp? Well,
we were raided by Cardassians, suspecting that we were aiding some resistance
cel somewhere. The Sarkai or something."
"The Shakaar?"
"Yeah, that sounds right. Anyhow, we were raided. Since I looked old enough
to fight and everything they decided that I knew something. After two
or so hours of torture they decided that they'd have to take me back to
here or whatever and they started working on the other hostages who were
caught in the same area as I was. They raped all the women brutally then
slowly tortured them to death. Anyone else they figured wasn't of any
use to them they killed and marched the survivors back here, carrying
everything they could make us, like pack animals. Alyth, one of the people
there was me mother...I watched those bastards rape and kill my mother...
And I could do nothing." Keirayns voice trailed off. Alyth's bruised face
slowly rose up beside him to look into his eyes. Gently, she stroked his
hair and tried to comfort the tortured soul behind the memories.
The sudden motion must've been too much for her because Alyth suddenly
looked ill and dropped to the floor to quell the sudden nausea. Keirayn
flipped over and watched her. "Alyth." he said, "I love you. "
Alyth looked up so quickly she fell down. "You don't know me. You don't
know the atrocities and deaths I'm responsible for. You told me that you
wished for nothing more than a peaceful existence as a vedek. Believe
me, you have nothing in common with me."
"I know your heart, Alyth. I know you don't really wish ill on those who've
done you no wrong. Your soul is indeed tortured with the memories of all
the things you've done but you don't deserve this."
"So what? You love me because I have this proverbial sign over my head
that says 'Help Me!'?"
"No, I love your attitude. I love that they haven't put out that spark
of fire you regarded me with that first day I met you. You know, it's
still somewhere inside of you. I really think I love you. "
Alyth looked taken aback. She sat on the ground, looking up at him for
a moment, trying to figure out how to react. Gul Darheel appeared at the
doorway.
"We're ready for you now, child."
"Alyth nodded and got up, knowing from experience that it'd be easier
than fighting. Looking back at Keirayn she placed her hand on her breastbone,
a Bajoran symbol of love. And for a brief second, their eyes met before
Alyth was dragged off for interrogation.

Chapter 9
Keirayn knew that by now he should be used to the gauntness of Alyth's
appearance shouldn't surprise him but it always seemed to cause him to
start. When Alyth limply fell from the overseer's arms to his that night,
she was barely conscious. He hadn't expected it, but it made sense that
tonight would've been a rougher night for Alyth. No doubt the capture
of the other resistance members had contributed to the high emotions among
the Cardassians and in turn they found their outlet in what they did to
Alyth.
Blood seeped through her thin clothes in a dozen places and she seemed
to be just barely holding onto consciousness. Keirayn just held her close
to him for a second. Surprisingly, he fell her wrap her arms around him,
cautiously at first, but then tighter, as if he were the only thing that
was keeping her from falling into a deep, dark abyss.
After a long time Keirayn picked Alyth up off the floor and laid her on
the dirty mattress. She didn't move at all.
"Alyth?" Keirayn shook her, suddenly worried. After evoking no response
at all from her, Keirayn broke out to the hall in a rage. He saw the overseer
and approached him boldly.
"What did you do to her?" he raged. The overseer turned around coolly.
"Who?"
"Alyth!"
"Alyth?"
"Yes, your little play-toy there."
"Oh, yes. Alyth. Such a pretty delicate little thing."
"You drugged her or something, didn't you?"
"Oh, so smart."
"Smarter than you. You're killing her, slowly and painfully."
"Isn't that the best way?"
Keirayn could finally he longer keep his rage in check. Blindly, he struck
out at the guard, who brought a whip violently down across Keirayns back.
Keirayn dropped to a protective crouch but still muttered very explicit
Bajoran vulgarities.
"Your display of thoughtless anger won't help you, or your little sexy
toy there. Maybe you've fooled us all those years, maybe you do know something
after all. Come with us." The overseer dragged Keirayn away, leaving only
a trail of blood.

Chapter 10
Alyth woke up some hours later, sore and slightly nauseous. There was
no sign of Keirayn but she only supposed that he was in the mines -- where
she should be. Slowly trying to get up a wave of dizziness sent her sprawling
to the ground. Gritting her teeth, she crawled to the exit of the room
and clung to the metal controls for a second. Mustering amounts of strength
from reserves she didn't know she had, she stood up and punched in an
access code that was atleast two months old, hoping desperately it'd work.
The door opened. Relief poured through her so much that she almost fell
down again.
Struggling to keep her balance, she moved slowly through the shadows but
not really knowing where she was going, just away. A sudden, familiar
cry came from one of the all too familiar interrogation rooms.
"Prophets, no. Please reveal to me that I'm only hallucinating." Alyth
whispered. As if in answer to her fervent prayer, she heard the cry again,
louder and more raw. "Keirayn!" Alyth whispered fiercely. Finding her
way, more on instinct than anything else, she moved deftly under the surge
of adrenaline.
Reaching the door, she painfully drew herself up to her full height of
maybe 5'1''. Stepping through the door, using the same access code as
before she glowered at the Cardassians, letting her blue eyes pierce through
them. Knowing what she'd find, he didn't look to the body on the ground.
It'd be easier to do what she had to do without seeing Keirayn dead to
her feet. The Cardassians regarded her almost indifferently.
"Stop it! Stop hurting him. You may've well killed him, the prophets above
know well enough how many times I've narrowly escaped that fate."
"You get back in your room now, or next time you may not escape that fate
at all."
"Kill me. Go ahead, I have nothing to live for. But I have to warn you,
it won't be easy. As you said when you first captured me, I'm a fighter."
Alyth looked at the one that had spoke at her coolly.
"You haven't been fighting us too much lately -- maybe you're finally
beginning to realise that you like this." He said as he approached her
and grabbed at her breasts.
"Why don't you be a man and try not drugging your prey for once?" Alyth
retorted. The Cardassian suddenly forced himself on her without saying
anything at all. Alyth struggled but couldn't make her hands go where
she wanted them to. Several times she'd flicker in and out of consciousness
but largely she was aware of what was going on and who was even on her.
After about the fifth or sixth guy Gul Darheel came into the room enraged.
"There's been an accident in mine three. Why are you not there preventing
these kind of things? Get off of her damnit. I'll kill her if she keeps
distracting you from your duties." The officers moved quickly, leaving
Alyth naked on the floor.
Alyth, when she could, crawled over to Keirayn and gently turned him over.
Parts of his back had been flayed completely raw and when she turned him
over onto it, he moaned faintly. "Thank prophet, he's not dead." Alyth
thought.
His face wasn't mutilated as much as the rest of his body and looked peaceful.
Grasping his hand and laying against his chest to hear his shallow breathing,
Alyth fell asleep.

Chapter 11
She woke up to a Cardassian roughly kissing her. "Oh God," she mumbled.
"Right you are."
Alyth allowed herself to fall into a state of semi-consciousness and let
him do whatever he wanted. Just when she thought he was done, he pulled
out and started all over again. With Keirayn beside her but not able to
help, it was close to unenduable. Reaching out, her hand brushed his hair.
Unexpectedly, he looked over and their eyes met.
'when did he regain conciousness?' Alyth wondered. Before she could
wonder anything more the door opened. Instead of the Cardassians she'd
been expecting, a Bajoran mercinary with a blaze of red hair ran into
the room firing shots before Alyth could even think of anything else.
The Cardassian on top of her went limp, obviously dead. A mixture of relief
and fear flooded through her. The mercinary knelt down beside Alyth and
pulled the Cardassian off of her.
"Alyth?"
"It's me, Kira. I know, I look awful but it's still early."
"You always did have an awful sense of wit. Oh prophets, we'll have to
fix you up somehow. Can you walk?" Kira draped a sheet over her.
"I think so." Kira helped her up and they began to go to the door.
"No, Keirayn. We have to get him to where he can get help."
Kira looked to her puzzled. "Alyth, he's dead."
"No he's not, I just saw -- he just looked at me. He can't be dead. Kira,
we have to take him with us, I'm not going if we don't." Alyth was approaching
hysteria. Kira sat her down beside Keirayn. Alyth grabbed his hands and
pressed her head to his chest.
"Kira, he's not breathing. He's not breathing, help him!" Alyth was now
hysterical.
"I can't, I'm sorry." Kira gently pulled off his earring and dropped it
into Alyth's shaking fist. "Riyaz, we need to go, they'll be sending people
after us."
"I don't care, if he doesn't come, then I won't. We have to get him to
a doctor, then it'll all be okay. Then we'll be together and we won't
be here and -- and..... Damnit Nerys, help me! I can't carry him by myself."
Alyth was madly tugging at the body, moving him no more than half a foot
with much effort before Kira felt so sorry for this young girl that with
a quick blow to the back of Alyth's neckshe knocked her unconscious. Cursing,
Kira wrapped the sheet round Alyth again, picked up the ear ornament,
then Alyth and ran out of the compound as fast as she could.

Chapter 12
Alyth woke in a dimly light room in what she supposed to be a stronghold
somewhere. Kira was fiddling with some kind of gun which was obvioulsly
jammed in some way. In frusteration she slammed it against the corner
of a table several times, causing it to fire through a window nearby.
Looking surprised, Kira studied it again then respectfully put it down.
Then she looked over and noticed Alyth watching her.
"Where am I?" Alyth asked.
"I brought you to one of the strongholds in Dekor provience."
"Where is Keirayn?"
"Riyaz, he's dead."
Alyth looked confused for a second, then realization illumiated her eyes.
"Nerys!! You knocked me out and LEFT HIM THERE!!!" Alyth stumbled out
of bed and looked at Kira evenly.
"Riyaz, he was dead."
"Well he is now."
Kira stood and watched Alyth rage infront of her. "Who is he? Why did
he mean so much to you??"
The rage turned to saddness and Alyth slumped onto the bed.
